5.0 out of 5 stars Absolute Amazement!
This is a DEFINATE MUST to any emo/indie lovers collection. The eerie keyboard and astonashing vocals are enough to blow anyone away. Its an awful shame that they broke up because this is good music! If you dont already own Heartbreak in Stereo, you should order it as soon as possible. You will NOT be dissapointed. And If you think My Chemical Romance is good with Frank...

3.0 out of 5 stars Pencey Prep
I have to say, Frank Iero has a damn good voice. Not that it's up to par with most lead singers in the biz today, but it's pretty awesome, I must say. But I love My Chem and I love Pencey Prep. Therefore, I love this cd.

I used to listen to Pencey Prep all the time on limewire, so when i found out that my actual ten faveorite pencey prep songs where on one CD i rejoiced. its an awesome cd, with haunting keyboards and the vocals are amazing! i also love my chemical romance, but i didnt know that frankie's voice is so amazing. its a great cd- definetly worth buying, especially since this band isnt around anymore. i just wish i could clone frankie so i can have both mcr and pencey prep in my life.

heartbreak in stereo is one of the most friggin awesome cd's out there...it's a shame that pencey had to split...but now frank's in mcr, which is another great band.
if you're into emo...with some screamo thrown in...you need this cd.
you'll regret it if you don't get it.
i know it...you'll just start crying after you realize there's no more copies.

This is a really awesome cd. If you just listen to it a few times and give it a chance, you will really love it. They just sound so real. Really great instrumentals, and really great singing. The complete package.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's not my fault I have my father's eyes..., June 8, 2006
This review is from: Heartbreak in Stereo (Audio CD)
Listening to Frank Iero scream in the background on My Chemical Romance songs, I was a little skeptical about him fronting a band. But, being the amazing guitarist that he is, I had to check out that he'd done with Pencey Prep. And I wasn't disappointed. Anyone who says guitar players can't sing have never listened to Frank Iero. It's a shame that Pencey is no longer together because, in my opinion, they could have gone really far. But at least we have Heartbreak In Stereo. Another unfortunate item is that some of the demos that Pencey prep did were not released on this album. Everything they have ever done is amazing, and I highly recommend Heartbreak In Stereo to anyone and everyone who is looking for something a little different.

5.0 out of 5 stars Insanely Beautiful, May 21, 2006
This review is from: Heartbreak in Stereo (Audio CD)
This CD is a masterpiece. Very strange, but grasping lyrics. I am really sad that they are no longer together, but something good came out of it. Who ever knew Frank Iero had such a lovely singing voice?! I reccomend this CD to anyone and everyone!

5.0 out of 5 stars even more original than my chemical romance, January 29, 2005
This review is from: Heartbreak in Stereo (Audio CD)
pencey prep is the ex-band of my chemical romance's guitarist, frank iero. but it's even more orginial than many other emo/indie sound out there. the keyboard is just so special and spookier than anythign on my chemical romance. and frank can sing. i really wish they didn't break up so there could be more songs like theirs!

5.0 out of 5 stars These guys are great!, January 3, 2005
This review is from: Heartbreak in Stereo (Audio CD)
These guys are by far one of the best bands to break up. Their sound is so original, it'll make you hit replay over and over again. (Frankie [ lead singer/guitarist ] is now in My Chemical Romance..another AMAZING band).

4.0 out of 5 stars Epitome Of Emo... Bwahaha!, February 19, 2007
This review is from: Heartbreak in Stereo (Audio CD)
This is Lori here, not mein fazhah. Okay, so everyone here's been saying that Frank Iero has a great voice. Now, I love Frankles as much as the rest of you, but let's get serious-- the sweetie's better at screaming than singing. His voice is super-whiny, and he just sounds like my nine-year-old brother. Despite that fact, I love the album so much! I'm always telling my friends who think they know emo to go check out Pencey Prep, cause they're the EPITOME OF EMO. But in a good way. And besides, what other band could get away with a song called 'Fat and Alone'?
