Very Good- A Keeper!,

This review is from: Heartbreakers (Paperback)
These stories were originally written as ebks. They are much better in this format, because the stories flow right into each other. It's more like one book with a chapter on each brother. The first two stories are sweet romances and very good. The four brothers have a very popular rock band and live together with a studio out back. This worked for a while but as these stories unfold they end up finding their own loves and places. The oldest brother Brian doesn't blame his wife Lexy for hiding herself and their son for 10 yrs but the real culprit, his manager. He gets past the anger, and looks to the future and getting to know his new family. The 2nd oldest brother, Paul, finally wakes up to his own needs of claiming his love Ceci, instead of continuing the farce of her being with Brian.
The second two stories are D/s stories and very HOT! Caz is a Dom who is in lust with Brook, their new manager, but fights it and her, until they are forced together at a party. And the youngest, Nick, is also a Dom who suddenly finds his own love Gaby while trying to help her learn the lifestyle for a police sting. If you're expecting novel-like stories this isn't it. They each are more like short stories so there's details missing but they're not really needed, and each has a good "A-h-h-h" ending. I wish we learned more about their parents. It sounds like they may have been into the D/s lifestyle too. And also Brook's brother Reid. He's a bi-sexual Dom who sounds loving and complex. This is definitely a keeper.

WHAT ABOUT LOVE
It's been ten years since rock star Brian Tristan last saw the only woman he's ever truly loved. Sure he's been with other women and even attempted to move on with his life but it's been a futile effort. He just never dreamed that they'd be brought together because of Mesquite's manager's neglect in following through with the annulment that Lexy and Brian had agreed to after their one unrestrained weekend. Caitlyn Willows really drew out all my emotional hotspots with WHAT ABOUT LOVE? In a matter of moments I was drawn into this storyline and found myself experiencing anger, hurt, tears, and even adoration right along with the characters. I'd love to say I want Brian for myself but he and Lexy are so perfect together that I couldn't imagine even trying to tear this couple apart. This story is sexually charged and intense as well as endearing - all the things I've come to appreciate in Ms. Willows's storylines. CRAZY ON YOU Rock Musician Paul Tristan has spent the past year attempting to keep his love for Ceci under wraps. From the moment he saw her he knew she was `the one' but his brother Brian got to her first and that alone officially makes her off-limits. However, Paul has vowed that if he can't have Ceci then he's going to make sure that his brother treats her like the goddess Paul considers her to be. Ceci Powers relationship with Brian is complicated to say the very least. The romance between them fizzled out long ago but with the brothers touring they're rarely together and therefore it's easier to pretend that everything's ok. Now things have gotten out of hand and it's time to be honest with Brian and Paul, as well as herself. With today's paparazzi it's easy to understand just how quickly rumors and lives can spiral out of control but these brothers seem to be very down to earth and devoted - not just to each other but their loved ones and fans as well. I found these characters to be charming, realistic and lovable but also refreshingly vulnerable. Ceci and Paul complement each other beautifully and even though they're both typically `vanilla' or `Mr. Missionary,' as Paul's brother, Caz likes to tease Paul, it's obvious that with the right incentive and opportunity anyone is capable of enjoying a little `kink' in their love life. IF LOOKS COULD KILL Mesquite drummer Caz Tristan prides himself on his control and until Brooke entered his life he's never had any problem maintaining it. His brothers have all out-voted him on hiring her on as the new manager for their group and working with her is the very last thing he's interested in doing. For Brooke Hansen, being offered the job as Mesquite's manager is a dream come true. Well almost... it's also nerve wracking and a bit daunting - especially when it comes to the tension that's so prevalent whenever she's in the same room with Caz. Fortunately she's tough enough to hold her own in the face of Caz's adverse reaction and stand by her opinions regarding Mesquite's future. The tension between Caz and Brooke is captivating right off the bat and plays out in ways that leave you envious - especially once they're forced to confront their desires and able to be true to themselves. MAGIC MAN Police officer Gaby Keating is determined to catch a killer but in order to do so she's going to have to infiltrate the BDSM community. Fortunately, she has an `in' as her parents are heavily involved in the lifestyle but getting daddy's help isn't as easy as she had hoped. When his refusal meets with resistance he opts to ensure her safety the only way he knows how - his way! He'll provide her with the tools she needs to appear to belong but it's going to be on his terms and he's got the perfect men to initiate his beloved daughter into the world of BDSM. Attorney Marvin Keating knows his daughter well and there's no doubt in his mind that she'll go undercover to a sex club in order to find a killer with or without his help so he's opted to control the circumstances - starting with making sure that she's fully instructed in the ways of the a true submissive and aware of what will be expected of her - and Nick Tristan is just the man for the job. MAGIC MAN is the final story in the HEARTBREAKERS series and I have to tell you I'm a little bummed to see it come to an end. These characters have charmed their way into my heart with their down to earth personalities and lack of `rock star ego.' Caitlyn Willows successfully brings these men and their storylines to life so the reader feels like they could really be a friend and not just idols standing on a stage belting out favorite tunes.
