If you appreciate quality song writing, you will definitely like this CD. This singer song-writer from Norway has amazing talent, his words and voice send chills down your spine. I recently had the oppurtunity to see him perform live and bought the cd immediatly. While the live show is more powerful, the cd captures the experience well.

This is not a CD you can listen to while you chat with your friends. You have to pay attention to get the meat of the songs, which is in the lyrics. His songs are rich in imagery, with very nice turns of phrase. Though none of the songs tell a 'story', there is a story, if not a life, behind each of them. Actually I think the songs are written for men in their 40s & 50s who are maybe starting to think differently about the world and their place in it - but don't get me wrong, my wife loves the CD too. The music is not especially catchy, and Henning's voice won't win any awards. But the CD is very listenable and very special, and it will eventually draw you in and win you over.
