Heartland Curb release, December 12, 2010
This review is from: Heartland (Audio CD)
I own both the German and Aussie CDs. The sound is identical. The German release is far superior because it comes with lyrics and more detail about the songs and track times.
'Catch Me I'm Falling' and 'Send Me An angel' are still played today on FM rock stations, particularly in Australia on the Triple M network. Superb album, a must for anyone interested in 80s rock.

Forgotten gem!, April 27, 2010
This review is from: Heartland (Audio CD)
Far and away this had to be one of my all-time favourite releases from the Australian Wave that swept through the 80's. Between Real Life, INXS, The Church, Men at Work, Midnight Oil and several others that distinct aussie sound hammered itself into my brain and remains there to this day. For years I'd scoured for this release - the original, not the late 90's club remix - to no avail. At long last, it has its place in my collection!

This is the second time I have purchased Heartland on CD. I bought the very expensive Curb release that was only printed in West Germany. That CD is a rare one that usually goes upward of $200 when purchased used. This release of Heartland sounds way better then the expensive Curb release. This version doesn't state that it has been remastered, but in my opinion it clearly has. If you want Heartland on CD this is the best way to go, not to mention all the money you will save. The only thing the Curb version has going for it is it comes with lyrics. This version does not.
