You can play any country in WWII, starting from 1936 or later, and command every detail. What I love about the game is the hyper-realistic detail. You decide what research to fund or not fund. You decide which brigades go into every division, and even which generals are assigned and even their ranks. Obviously, you decide what to build. The politics are realistic. I love that there are photographs of nearly every general and of other major political leaders for every country. A few things could be improved: more photographs and explanations of aircraft, ships and other military equipment; a clearer instruction manual. Beware, the game takes hundreds of hours to play.
