More About the Author

I am a single mother of three beautiful girls, I have just recently graduated business school. I am a lover of the outdoors, hunting, fishing or just listening to the water sing me the enchanting songs of life. I am a country girl and love all of the perks of being so. I cannot stand drama and would much rather spend my day with a positive outlook even though I get weary of the same old life. I have suffered abuse since I was five but I have not let it destroy the person I was meant to be. I am not perfect but I could be a lot worse and then blame my past for a life not worth living. I believe that we all make our mistakes and learn from them in out own way and/or time. I love everyone no matter where they have come from because that is not the end of their story. When I get in my moods I write and write and then write some more because well writing is what keeps my sanity or well whats left of it. I absolutely love this book by Bathsheba Dailey. From the first poem to the last, you can tell that everything she writes comes directly from her heart. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it ended. I am looking forward to future writes from Bathsheba. I could no more pick a favorite out of this book than I could pick a favorite color. They are all wonderful and thought provoking.

I really couldn't say enough good things about this book.

I quickly sat down to read my copy of Bathsheba Dailey's latest and greatest poetry collective book, "Hearts and Souls Poetry book" and was quickly hip deep in emotional and confessional poetry. I am familiar and have read a handful of Bathsheba's work but this book is a quick engrossing, enthralling collection of confessional pieces that are hard to emotionally shake and make you quickly yearn for the next page.

It is clearly evident that Bathsheba's work is derivative and taken from real life and real world experiences which further enhance the "new generation" poetry feel and depth. You can almost get a feeling of "being there" and going through these pieces one by one with the author. Every piece (all 102 of them!) quickly take you on a journey through a poetess' struggle, rising and falling along the way. It almost makes the reader believe that this book was directly intended to tell some sort of a poetic timeline story which further enhances the depth and meaning to this book.

Every piece is a winner. From the first piece, "Tracks of Life" which looks at decisions and reflecting on past events to one of my personal favorites, "A True Father" which tends to pay homage and an understanding love for the father in her life. Some prose-style, thought-provoking pieces are exampled as well such as "Turning back time" (another favorite), "All I ever need", and "Heaven Sent". "Sandy Shores" is a brilliant example of prose so descriptive, you can truly imagine yourself there. To end this amazing read is the haunting prose poem, "I still Believe", which packs the final punch to show that the author has survived and lived to tell about her experiences.

Bathsheba's poetry is from her heart and soul , she uses no cheap parlor tricks , there's no smoke and mirrors . "Tracks of Life", her first poem tells of her indecessions in life , what to do, where to go , basic things we all have faced . I believe she is at her best when she bares her soul with love poetry . "A Powerful Love to Miss" is my favorite . You can be sure you'll hear more from this talented young lady Bathsheba Daily

I could not wait to read Bathsheba's book of poetry. I had the honor and privledge to have read her poetry before. When I heard she had a book out, I could not wait to read it and was so happy for her!
Bathsheba is a young up and coming poet that will be well known in the future of poetry.

All of her poems are written from her heart and soul. At times I found my self laughing and crying, but mostly sadness. I could feel her emotions. This book is filled with a cornucopia of emotions!

This is my new treasure that is always by my nightstand! Even if you are not a lover of poetry, you will adore this book.

I highly recommend this read!!!

This is my first book from Bathsheba and right from the start she had transported me into her world of poetry! "The deepest of emotions, both good and bad, bring out the greatest of poems." That sad I am convinced she had gone through and seem the deepest of emotions and has successfully put them to words for all to enjoy! I am a huge fan of hers to say the least.

This beautiful poetic collection by Bathsheba Dailey left me breathless. Her words are a confessional expressed in a way that not only gives you a glimpse into her world, but each relatable to the reader. The fluidity of her writing is such that you will not be able to pick it up to read just one, like a daydream it will carry you away to a place that reminds you how intense & how incredible life can be. It will leave you pondering, yet fulfilled and with a sense of reassuring certainty. A definite go to creation to connect to. Looking forward to her next collection!
