Hearts Of Stone,
This review is from: Hearts of Stone (Paperback)
What this this is is not so much as a book but a small journal of Mrs. Gessner's dreams that she claims come straight from God. She says many times the things she dreams warn her of whats to happen 2 weeks later..It's not that I do not believe Mrs. Gessner. I believe that Mrs. Gessner believes what info she has come across in sleep state is true. When I read what she has written of her dreams and connection with God I am not sure what to believe. She wrote this book as a warning for things to come, such as the end of times. Well she maybe warning us but what exactly are we suppose to do about something set in motion by the great being who created us. I just feel that this is a book that should be taken with a grain of salt.

His Words!,
This review is from: Hearts of Stone (Paperback)
Have you ever heard of the 'Night Watchmen'? Those who the Lord assigns to warn , sound the alarm and proclaim events about to take place, or dangers lurking around the corner. Have you ever had a dream that you cannot forget, one so vivid that you replay it over and over again in your mind? What happens when your dreams become reality, but no one will listen? What happens when warnings are shown to you for our world but a deaf ear is turned to them? This is the problem our author faces in her life as she is one who receives dreams from the Lord to warn mankind. In this work, "Hearts of Stone," Kate shares with the reader the beginning of her life with dreams, the content of many, and how she desperately tried to share the warnings she received but meet on most occasions a brick wall. She opens her heart as she takes us on her journey to understand why she was given these dreams, and finally her acceptance that God would take them where they need to go, and would allow them to be heard by those who need to hear. She realized that she could not make mankind accept or understand what was being given to her, she was only, as they say, the mail man with a letter that could be read or thrown away unopened. I know from experience and being in the ministry for over thirty-years that God does indeed speak through dreams and visions. I feel something's can be prevented or at least lessened through prayer and repentance, although I fully understand that there are events that must take place in these times, and nothing will prevent their happening. We may not always understand the ways of God, but we need to be open to Him. It is His choice who He uses and His way of delivering His messages. I appreciate, Kate, and her commitment to the Lord, her courage to keep going forward, and her love for God. It isn't easy to be a spokesman and one who rings the siren, but through Kate's heart of devotion and trust in a God who is always there, she will carry on until His return. Final words: God does speak to His creation, we just need to listen. A book well worth your time. God bless you Kate! Keep looking up!

Dreams, Warnings, and Judgments,
By
This review is from: Hearts of Stone (Paperback)
Suppressed by the media Kate Gessner delivers the message of her dreams in her book "Hearts of Stone." Her dreams include a warning to a world filled with sin of coming judgment. She relates dreams of poverty, of torture, earthquakes, cities destroyed, and an AIDS epidemic.Kate asks profound questions for readers to consider. She offers sage words on seeking truth, finding peace, and experiencing forgiveness. She talks about patience and faith and of dreams of a world religion, undistorted and pure. Dreams of celebrity tragedy and family death have preceded the actual events by two weeks. Kate tells of dreams of nuclear power plants everywhere falling and of multitudes of children being orphaned. Frequently Kate's dreams come through messages delivered by angels. She warns that the time is at hand when the parables of Jesus will be fulfilled, the time of harvest and judgment. Dreams of Iraq, of governments, of war all go unheeded as she makes them known to government officials, to the press, and investigative agencies. Kate tells of her life being threatened because of revealing the message and content of her dreams. "Hearts of Stone" is Kate's bold proclamation that her dreams emanate from God, and are delivered by angels. This is not a book that will easily be accepted by skeptics. Kate's writing will provide encouragement for others, like Kate, with a message of warning for the world that has gone unheeded.

Hearts of Stone is a Call for Peace and a Call for Love to Whomever Will Listen,

This review is from: Hearts of Stone (Paperback)
Far too often Americans get so politically correct, sophisticated, and uptight that they miss out on great truths, especially in the spiritual realm. The average-PC American, it seems to me, are so worried about being uncool by believing in or talking about the Christian God that this entire arena escapes their notice. Those thoughts came to mind when I came across and read a fascinating journal called Hearts of Stone by Kate. The author uses only her last name, probably because she is afraid of being attacked, ridiculed or belittled because she has the audacity to actually admit that God talks to her and she listens. Hearts of Stone is a journal of about how God started talking to Kate through dreams and how most of these dreams actually come true within a couple of weeks. Thus, they are prophetic dreams which are enough to frighten most politically correct Muppets out of their wits. I really don't understand why people come so quick to judgment on this topic because prophetic dreams were very important to Joseph, Jacob and the pharaohs. Such dreams were so important that the pharaohs had fulltime dream interpreters at their side to explain the significance and meaning of the dreams they had the night before. In Hearts of Stone Kate explains that it is simply her job to share the dreams with the public at-large and she stresses that it is not her job or intent to change anyone or to persuade anyone to change their believes. She is a dreamer and a prophet, not an evangelist. Although fascinated by her dreams and the number that came true, I also was fascinated by Kate herself. She is now working as a civilian in Iraq, first as an electrician and now as a project estimator. Before that she worked almost 20 years in robotics for Ford Motor Company. This single mother of three also is a licensed jet engine mechanic. So, you see, she is far from the image of a "religious nut" who fools herself into thinking God speaks to her. Kate strikes me as a bright, intelligent, multi-talented young mother whom God chooses to speak to and she is smart enough to listen and pay attention. Hearts of Stone The book title, Hearts of Stone, does not derive directly from humanity's stone cold hearts but have to do with stone-shaped hearts from the Tigris River. In the book, Kate explains that one day she looked down and found countless of these hearts of stone on the ground. They are all totally different from one another, just like human beings who also have stone hearts and do not seek peace or love their neighbors as God desires. I enjoyed reading Hearts of Stone and when I finished the last page walked away from this book taking the author seriously. God talks to Kate. But you know what, God indeed talks to most of us - we just don't hear him. Emory Daniels |
