From the Back Cover

Will Randi find love on the open road?

Abandoned, betrayed, and feeling forsaken by God, truck driver Randi Davis crisscrosses Wyoming with a broken heart, vowing never to love another man. Suddenly Matthew Carter, a pastor in search of a mobile ministry, is thrust into her life and into her cab. And there’s nothing she can do about it.

Matthew sees the seedier side of trucking every day, and he feels a pull toward the people there—a definite call to minister to them. But getting this ministry established is proving more difficult than he imagined.

Soon Randi and Matthew find themselves at cross-purposes. His life on the road has just begun. Her eight-year-old niece needs a parent to come home to every day. Will this be the end of the road for Randi and Matthew’s romance?

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1: 9

If you are looking for romance where the pedal hits the metal in a heart-racing ride,
then Hearts On The Road is for you! I love romance with a unique twist, and Diana Brandmeyer's delightful tale of two over-the-road truck drivers who meet and fall in love is just the ticket for a romantic road trip you will never forget.

Nursing a broken heart and a grudge toward God, pretty truck driver Randi Davis is looking to get out of Dodge with her partner and best friend Jess, hoping to put the past miles behind. But when their schedule hits a bump in the road that puts Jess out of commission, Randi is suddenly forced to work with good-looking rookie Matthew Carter, who certainly turns her head, but not her heart when she learns he is a pastor in search of mobile ministry. The last thing she wants is to be his next convert ... or victim of the heart ... since she's vowed to leave love in the dust and never look back.

Ms. Brandmeyer's fresh new style and one-of-a-kind love story will rev pulses from zero to sixty in record time on a romantic joy ride that's miles of fun. Highly recommended and a definite road map for a wonderful read!

Diana Brandmeyer's delightful romance Hearts on the Road stars crusty trucker Randi Davis, who is content with her female work partner and her single life. Her rig skids out of the careful route she's planned for her life when she meets Matthew Carter, who longs to combine his passion for the Lord and a heart for those who drive 18-wheelers.

As the two meet up at truck stops, sparks fly like rims against pavement, but Randi refuses to even consider a relationship with Matthew. Then her partner is hospitalized, her drug addict brother is arrested, and her niece Emma needs a caretaker. Suddenly Randi's life's pummelling downhill on a runaway ramp. Add the intrigue of a mystery sniper who seems intent on taking down truck drivers. In the midst of such turmoil, will Randi trust God to take the wheel? Can Matthew sacrifice his hopes for those of the Lord?

I loved the pacing in Diana's book, the interplay of trucker terms against society's expectations of women's behavior in a male-dominated profession. What began as a Sunday read...ended as a Sunday read! Isn't it fun to find books that keep the pages turning...and your heart and mind racing?

Congratulations, Diana! Can't wait until your next book releases!

Ever feel like if you could keep moving, everything would work out somehow? Or at least the bad stuff wouldn't catch up? Randi Davis would understand. However, the young trucker is finding trouble has a way of catching up. From family problems to a partner out of commission, she can't move fast enough or far enough before she's jerked back into the throes.
Then she is teamed up with Pastor Matthew Carter. She might argue, and does vehemently, but he could be the answer to a whole lot of what she's been trying to escape. However, Matthew has his own baggage. And when their two sets of goals set out on the road together, their hearts are bound to crash.
Ms. Brandmeyer has spun a tale that will make you laugh, cry and believe that there is hope and not necessarily all that far from home. I highly recommend Hearts on the Road and look forward to her next work.
