I have always liked Bonnie Tyler's vocal stylings, but to me her biggest hits were like hair styles of the era: big, overblown, full of air, and not anything you would want to touch.

This album of rock covers, with tasteful orchestral backing, is PERFECT for Ms. Tyler. The music accentuates her voice, instead of trying to drown it out. You can hear her phrasing, her style, her.

The rendition of "Need Your Love So Bad" is worth the price alone.

Highly recommended.

Well Our Ms. Tyler has done it once again! The new cd is Brilliant! Her choice of covers were excellant! Its hard to choose a favorite song, when each has a life of its own! But I must say,she executes a flawless cover of "Everybody Hurts",It's Over", and In My Life"! Anyone who loves her should not hesitate to add this one to their collection, and those unfamiliar(although I find that hard to believe!) should start with this collection and then PLEASE run to your computers and order every cd in her back catalog!!! If I could have rated this higher,I would have.So what are you waiting for? Buy this cd and be taken to other worlds by a voice that is out of this world!

In my opinion this group of songs shows that if Bonnie had been given access
to songs of this caliber she would have become as famous as all these people whose songs she sings here became. Her rendition of Everybody Hurts has actually helped to heal some old lingering relationship wounds I've had. There isn't a bad song on the album. The City of Prague Philharmonic and her simply put this one out of the park. I rate it her second best album of all time. I suggest you get it while it is still available.

Bonnie has recorded plenty of covers in her career but this is her first album devoted exclusively to them. It comprises covers of songs that became UK hits for Bruce Springsteen (Human touch), REM (Everybody hurts), Lonestar (Amazed), Phil Collins (Against all odds take a look at me now), Jennifer Holliday (And I'm telling you I'm not going), Bill Withers (Lean on me - this song later became a bigger UK hit for Mud), Tom Petty (Learning to fly), Richard Marx (Right here waiting), U2 (I still haven't found what I'm looking for), Bonnie Raitt (I can't make you love me), Fleetwood Mac (Need your love so bad) and Roy Orbison (It's over) as well as a Beatles song (In my life) that wasn't released as a UK single. Many of these songs were American hits for the same artists and in some cases they were much bigger hits in America than in Britain.

Recorded with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra as well as several rock musicians, this album is nevertheless fairly mellow for the most part. If anybody was worried that Bonnie was giving up on recording original material, they needn't have worried. Bonnie has returned to recording mainly original material on subsequent albums. Meanwhile, enjoy this album of covers of songs that particulary suits Bonnie's voice and style.

this was a ok cd its bonnie with a very husky voice bonnies vocie gets better with age shes a fine wine i want to one day to meet her in person and give her sucha hug and eveything i hope i dont lose it and break and cry..
