Heat by Geneva Holliday is the third in the series and focuses on the continuing antics of Geneva, Crystal, Noah, and Chevy.

In this episode, Crystal is disgruntled with her high stress job, hectic city life and at every turn runs to her lover/gigolo in Antigua for comfort. Can she love a man who sleeps with women for a living? Geneva is publicly humiliated at her six year-old's school play when she discovers the poem her child recites is about Mommy's "jelly belly." She then decides to tackle her weight problem with the aid of diet pills with some very interesting and frightening results that jeopardize her relationships, friendships, and her job. Noah and his partner are at a stalemate regarding the step toward parenthood, so he returns to New York to battle the newly arrived "hood rats" next door and evicts Chevy for utterly trashing his apartment in his absence. Chevy, the vain and snobby fashionista, is thus humbled. She is left homeless and moneyless wandering the streets and resorts to very desperate and dangerous measures to secure a roof over her head.

Heat is an entertaining, quick read - perfect for the summer book bag. It is filled with witty dialogue, humor, drama, and (borrowing from the novel's title) some steamy "sex-capades." It is definitely a "must read" for fans of the series - if only to seek closure with the characters introduced in the first two books (Groove, Fever).

I loved this book and hated when it ended. Noah and his crazy neighbors had me cracking up!!!! The book was funny but also had serious parts and made me realize how one's life can change in an instance. I enjoyed all of Ms. Holliday's books and I can't wait for the next one. Keep up the good work.

I just recently purchased this novel and I must say that I really loved it from beginning to end!Crystal was a hot mess yet I was excited when she finally got her stuff together. Geneva struggled with her own issues but found a man who loved her unconditionally which was so sweet!Chevy,was pitiful and at times I wanted to come through the book and offer her some assistance. I liked Noah and his surprise was very shocking and helped with his relationship that almost fell apart. Good Job and I look forward to reading more from this author in the near future!

This was an excellent book and Geneva Holliday did a great job the characters were good but now I see I should have read the full series to get to know all the characters and where they stand. Crystal with her affair with her guy in Antigua who was a male stud/prostitute.....Geneva with Deeka was a riot trying to be sexy and just not taking care of Charlie properly was so funny to me and and the diet pills had her off the chain.... Noah was the most funniest character of all him and his partner and the yearning to adopt a child was hilarious.

I began following the characters in this book when I read "Groove" and I have been hooked every since. I have now read each book written by Ms. Holliday except the newest one, and I will be purchasing that one soon. She is able to tell a story that is not only sexy but interesting. I read a book by Zane once and it was just not my cup of tea. Geneva is excellent at creating a sensioual story that is also entertaining and captivating. I always finish her books in a matter of days becuase once I start, I can never really put them down!

HEAT WAS A GOOD BOOK I ENJOY IT THIS THE FIRST TIME I READ ONE OF HER BOOK SO I WAS IMPRESSED BY IT

Geneva Holliday has done it again!!!!! Heat, the third book in the Geneva Holliday series, is a great read. It kept me wanting more. I found myself upset when the book ended for the simple fact that the book was over. Loved it!!!!

this is a must read, I don't have a lot of leasure time; however, I will find time to read every book Ms. Holliday has written based on this hot and very exciting novel. I loved the book "Heat"

If you enjoyed Groove and Fever, you'll definitely enjoy reading more on Noah, Chevy, Geneva and Crystal. These four friends have always had drama and this time around it's nothing different.
Noah's man wants to have a child, but Noah isn't feeling it. Their relationship is beginning to strain and Noah is trying to figure out if he loves him man or his childless life more.
Chevy is still Chevy, mooching off her friends whenever she can and living way above her means. Time's running out and she can't hold up the charade much longer.
Geneva is still doing everything she can to do something about her weight, and nothing at all. Even having a fine man that loves her isn't enough to make her accept her for herself. Can she throw away the crash diets for good and be happy?
Crystal is going through a mid life crisis and while she's running across the country to share stolen moments with a gigaloo, she's trying to get what she's missing in life.

I liked how this was part of a series, but you didn't feel like you missed something if you didn't read a book. You'd want to read them all of course because they all are great, but it isn't heavily required. Geneva Holliday did her thang once more and the novel is full of drama, humor and of course HEAT!
