Book Description

Matt Duval-Adams just can’t stop himself from coming over all ‘big brother’ when his sisters’ friend needs help. Ella's life may be spiraling out of control, but she's so used to being Miss Independent and dealing with it she doesn't know how to accept what he's offering. In fact, what Ella secretly wants is Matt as a lover, not a 'big brother’. The tension between these two people thrown together by one of Ella's crises is intense. It doesn’t take Matt long to give up on the ‘brother’ routine and give in to his desire, but by then Ella is running in the opposite direction. Can lust conquer all? Can Ella ever shake off the family jealousies and back-stabbing? Can love overcome adversity?

This is the first book in the Duval-Adams series. Matt is an internationally acclaimed two Michelin-starred chef. His identical twin brother, Zander, is an investment whizz and the CEO of their catering and restaurant business. The other family members are their ‘baby’ sisters, each successful in their own right and also identical twins. Tess is a jazz singer who is sought after in the States and France, and Ronnie is a Translator who seems to spend more time in Spanish and French hotel rooms than she does her own home.

There are three more books to come in the series, covering each of the family members through their respective journey’s to a happy ever after. All the family get involved in each other’s story, they just can’t help themselves! So, once you’ve read Matt’s story, you’ll be able to keep in touch with what he’s up to in the later books.

WARNING: This book contains one seriously hot chef, one beautiful and talented pianist, two sets of twins who love and support each other and a fictitious place called Quinaard. You will be transported from London to the Middle East and across to Long Island. The sex scenes are explicit and the love intense.

Please note that the story touches upon sexual abuse when someone from Ella's past makes a brief appearance.

Number of words - approx 60,600

Book Two - Sleeping with a Traitor - Zander's story, is also available.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heat In The Kitchen (Matt's Story) September 3, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I truly enjoyed this story. This was a romantic erotica if ever there was one. This book had characters with depth & personalities & storyline that you could follow. It was excitingly funny, painfully sad, suspenseful & frustrating as HELL. Matt was the all around guy that you want to either grow up & marry or have your daughter marry. Ella was his sisters friend that he becomes attracted to on site never knowing she has loved him since she was 14. (She is six yrs. Younger). They have both been through a lot but through this connection a healing starts along with something Matt can't seem to name. A very good book can't wait to read next installment.

1.0 out of 5 stars Fooled by the good reviews February 28, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I was very disappointed in this story. It didn't feel natural, the characters were inconsistent and some situations didn't feel plausible. Plus, it wasn't hinted anywhere that the theme of sexual abuse would be touched upon and I think readers should be warned or at least tipped at when a book talks about stuff like this.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's Okay January 19, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I thought this story had the potential to really be good. However, I had trouble with the heroine. I thought she was a wimp with no spine. I like my female leads to be strong women capable of standing up for themselves but still being loving. I got tired of the wicked step-sisters running all over her and she does nothing. Doormat!! I loved the hero but I wondered how a strong male lead would put up with all her weak ways. I didn't finish the book. After the wedding I decided I had had enough. Maybe it got better, I will never know. I realize she had problems from her childhood but get help and move on. Why keep wallowing in it? Guess that was part of the story but I just couldn't get into it.

Interesting story with really likeable personalities. Some scenes are HOT, but their placement seem in line with the plot and support the story and persons very well. Well worth the read...

More About the Author

Sarah Fredricks lives in Central Scotland with her family.

As a child, Sarah loved writing stories and still remembers the two stories she wrote under exam conditions for her 'O' level english! On leaving school, her career took over and for a long time her creative outlet was through singing and performing in amateur operatic productions. She left a successful corporate career after 20 years and became a self-employed management development trainer. This second career is filled with peaks and troughs and during a particularly long trough she started writing her first novel. The peaks took over again and the novel was only finished in February 2012.

Sarah still delivers some training however, now the first novel is available she's going to go straight into writing her next one.

Sarah has been reading romance novels since the age of 15 and would happily never read anything else, but she belongs to a local book club which encourages her to broaden her reading! And Sarah would be the first to admit, she's read some great novels outwith the romance gentre!

When she's not busy writing, training or creating digital art, Sarah plays an active role in her community, enjoys time with her family and still sings (but not as much as she would like to).
