5.0 out of 5 stars note the size
I notice some people think this "Hand & Body Warmer" is too big, being pocket-sized. If you want a smaller, glove-sized product, check the listing for "Heatmax Hot Hands 2 Handwarmer" (note: without any "Body" in the name).

Although these products do take several minutes to warm up completely, that's fine: I prefer a slow steady heat that'll last a long...

1.0 out of 5 stars not for bowhunting
I bought a case of 40 of the hand warmers and also the adhesive foot warmers. They are great if you are moving such as hiking, but if you are buying these for stand hunting, then you will be disappointed. They dont last and they dont get hot enough. For 35 degrees on up they are so so. below freezing forget it

Although these products do take several minutes to warm up completely, that's fine: I prefer a slow steady heat that'll last a long time, and that's what they do. I'm not cold when I first go out into the cold anyway, and thanks to these things, I'm not cold for the rest of the time, either.

My husband is a Marine currently deployed to Iraq. The weather there now is very cold and these warmers help keep him warm. I highly recommend this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars love these things!, February 28, 2008
This review is from: HeatMax Hand & Body Warmer (40 Count) (Sports)
I love these little things! i'm always cold, and you just take one or two and stick it in your pockets (i like mine in my back jeans pocket to keep my butt warm...) and you're off for a night on the town no matter how cold it is! I know they're for skiing, but I use mine for braving New England winter weather.

Plus, they stay hot for so long, they usually last until the next morning. (just don't fall asleep with them in your bed...)

I feed several stray cats and have outdoor houses set up for them to protect them from the cold and weather. At night I put these under the blankets in the house and they love them. They usually are still warm in the morning, and on a few occasions I can shake them at night and they get hot again. I feel much better knowing that they are warm when the nights are cold.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for poor circulation, June 20, 2009
This review is from: HeatMax Hand & Body Warmer (40 Count) (Sports)
I have Raynauds (where my fingers and toes turn white because the blood has left to keep my torso warm). Thus I am always cold. We live in New England and it gets pretty cold in the winter. I carry these and the toe warmers in my car.

We go hiking and cross-country skiing in the winter. I would not last 10 minutes without these. It makes all the difference between a enjoyable day or a miserable one.

Don't delay, get these today!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for arthritis pain., March 28, 2007

Great stuff for people with arthritis, back pain, muscle pain or any pain where the use of a heating pad isn't practical. Example: I have a back support that has a pouch for cold packs. Instead, I use a Heat Max pack and I'm free to go anywhere and it feels great.
Hands hurt from arthritis? Wrap a pack in a dish towel and kneed with your hand.

Unless I'm doing something wrong, these don't work. I've tried airing it, "massaging" the package to get the stuff inside to mix, and just waiting but an 1-2hours later, it still only gets a little warm.

These things are awesome, these and the smaller hand warmers. I have been a mailcarrier for 18 years and the handwarmers are perfect for warming up cold hands. They stay warm all day! I only recently discovered them. I wish I had found them sooner!

The Heatmax warmers work exactly as claimed. They are a wonderful source of heat when outdoors in the cold weather, and yes, it gets cold in Maine. As directed on the label, one does have to take them out and expose them to air periodically to regenerated the heating process. After coming into the house, my wife has taken them and cuddled with them during the evening, and has taken them to bed as foot warmers. Go figure. Natural ingredients and nontoxic.
