Required for use with select HeatTrak heated walkway and stair mats, the 120-volt HeatTrak HR-P power unit connects mats to a properly grounded, standard 120-volt electrical power outlet via a watertight connector. The control unit is rainproof so it can be left outside for the entire winter season, contains its own Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, and has a 6-foot cord length.
The power unit enables you to connect a total of 15 amps, and a single power unit can connect up to 5 residential walkway mats (2.5 amps each) or up to 15 residential stair mats (0.6 amps each), or combine a mixture of the two so that the total comes to 15 amps or less. If your connected mats exceed 15 amps, you'll have to split up the mats and use a second power unit plugged into a separate outlet.
If your electrical outlet is more than 6 feet away, HeatTrak recommends using its 25-foot cable extender (model HR-EXT25) with a watertight seal--providing more protection against water and moisture than other outdoor-rated extension cords.
Note: Each set of 120-volt residential stair and walkway mats and industrial stair mats requires a power unit to connect the system to an electrical outlet.

This accessory along with the entire Heat Trak system are absolutely great. No more snow or ice on the steps from my deck down to the lawn.Published 2 months ago by Bob Orton
I spent over $2,000 on this junk. Over half the control units and at least half the treads and mats stopped working withing 2 seasons.
Do yourself a huge favor and DO NOT BUY.
This is a sturdy cord well made cord. It goes to a heat mat. Very quick shipping. Good quality. Cannot wait to use it this winter season. Like the features.Published 17 months ago by LadyNewYorker
