The perfect resting place for small animals such as ferrets, rabbits, hedgehogs, chinchillas, guinea pigs and more, this heated pad is constructed of rugged ABS plastic and features a steel-wrapped cord that stands up to nibbling teeth and curious claws. An internal thermostat keeps the temperature at a desirable 100 degrees. For indoor or outdoor use, the pad measures 9 by 12 inches and is UL listed. The pad is also great for rehabilitating sick pets and wildlife. Ideal for rabbits, guinea pigs or ferrets, the pad’s rounded edges prevent chewing. The cord entrance and the first 18 inches of the power cord have been capped with steel to prevent chewing as well. Holes in the 4 corners of the pad make perfect screw-down anchor points to keep the pad in place. Or, the unit can be tied down at the corners to any cage floor. Best of all, the pad only requires 25 watts of power to keep the indoor or outdoor pet warm even in the coldest of climates. The cord measures 5-1/2 feet.

With below freezing temperatures this week these heated pads are a "must have". The two feral cats who adopted us have to stay outdoors due to our allergies. I purchased two of these, just in time for the first winter storm of the season, and I can tell the cats really appreciate them. In addition to the heated pads I also purchased the fleece cover made by the same company K&H, I figured it would be more comfortable since the heat pad is rigid; with or without the fleece cover it's so cold I think the cats are just happy to have a warm spot. I placed the heated pad on top of their beds and both kitties quickly snuggled down in their beds.

My hedgehog loves it!!!,

The second I put this in my hedgehog's cage he instantely got on it and fell asleep. He loves it. I hardly ever see him sleeping anywhere else.

We found ourselves with a stray cat living in our back yard. Not looking for an indoor pet, but feeling sorry for the poor guy, we bought this product and put it in a small structure. We had some of the coldest weather I can remember in Michigan and this unit worked perfectly. I am sure it saved the little guy's life.
