Upon the installation of our new house alarm system, the line was cut to our door bell. It was old and only worked half the time anyway, so we decided to buy a wireless doorbell to eliminate the extra expense it would cost to have an electrician to install a new one. After much research on the internet, we decided to buy the Heath Zenith Trine SL6187C Chime. It was a great choice for us as it has met our approval with the easy installation, is battery operated, the beauty of the solid wood cover, variety and loudness of chimes, and the attractiveness of the chimes was an added bonus. We highly recommend this product, and the company we bought it from through Amazon.com. It was sent promptly, and we received it within a week or ordering it.

The Heath Zenith chime is an exceptional looking, very nice sounding electronic doorbell chime. I originally was under the impression that the chime tubes were actual analog chimes struck by a mechanical striker, but this is not the case. The tubes are nonfunctional plastic simply there for cosmetic purposes. But the digital chime sounds are very realistic and sound almost as good as their analog counterpart. Overall, I'm quite pleased with this doorbell.

I was looking for a lazy way to install a new door chime. This was the answer. A very good product.

This product was easy to put together. The sound sounds like a real bell, however, the sound is very electronic sounding. Also, it is a little difficult to change the tune. You will need some needle nosed pliers to get the pieces in and out that change the tune. I would recommend keeping the volume at medium to avoid the electronic sound. The louder the bell is, the more noticeable the sound is.

Very disappointing Range and the Doorbell Factor service. When explaining the range was only 10-15 feet, the service provider said that was because of the wall / door blocking the receiver. When we said it was a doorbell and therfor needed to be outside the door, the service rep became unkind. The return policy when product is opened (needed to facilitate an effect trial of product) is the loss of 50% OF THE PAYMENT PRICE PER COMPANY! Very disappointed with the whole experience.

While this is neither the fanciest nor the most expensive of wireless door chimes, it turned out to be a very good buy - especially when compared to other brands, models and suppliers on line. This same comment is especially true when compared to prices for similar items in the big box stores. The unit is attractive without being gaudy and the tones are "friendly" - and, most important - adjustable.
