Cheap case!, August 2, 2010

I bought this case for my Heather harp because I knew that I would want to travel with my harp (as I do with my other folk instruments) and wanted to protect it from all manner of horrible ends, such as being sat on or having heavier items packed on top of it, not to mention just toppling over in the back of the vehicle. Upon first sight, the case looks very nice, even including combination-locking latches which I did not expect. However, the inside is just horrible. The lining is extremely cheap faux-velvet with a very short nap. There is manufacturer's glue over portions of it in dried gobs. The lining is also not glued down very well in places and already coming loose when I recieved the item. Furthermore, the harp does not actually fit snugly into the interior of the case, and I am going to have to pack it with something soft to keep it from bumping around while travelling. Considering the high price that I paid for this case (1/3 the cost of the instrument itelf) I expected a much better product. I am very dissapointed.
