Sutcliff's Shining Short Stories
For fans of Historical Fiction, Rosemary Sutcliff ranks among the divine. Her prose is easy and fluid, and these three short stories, hard to find, are beautifully written and worth tracking down. A boring book
This was kinda a hard book for someone under 13, and it gets pretty dry and you need to go back and read stuff again. I can't supply you with a sunopsis cuz i kinda forgot what the book was about.

Sutcliff's Shining Short Stories, December 1, 2006
This review is from: Heather, Oak, and Olive; Three Stories (Library Binding)
For fans of Historical Fiction, Rosemary Sutcliff ranks among the divine. Her prose is easy and fluid, and these three short stories, hard to find, are beautifully written and worth tracking down. This is the second book of Sutcliff's that I read, after I fell head over heels for her remarkable re-telling of "Tristan and Iseult". A great book for those interested in ancient Britain, the Roman occupation of those islands, or anyone who delights in a well-told story set in the past.
