This review is from: Heaven Can't Wait: A Survey of Alleged Trips to the Other Side (Paperback)
The Late Bill Alnor has done us a huge favor in researching so many of the bogus claims of trips to heaven starting with Swedenborg in the 1700's. This book is the cure for the deluge of books claiming trips to both heaven and hell. They all contradict one another as clearly shown by Alnor's impeccible research so somebody has to be fabricating or hallucinating. Research of hospital records show that Betty Malz was never in a hospital dying so I guess she thought no one would check. All the major Tel Evangleists have to fabricate and claim a trip or two to heaven and hell to stay in competition. Then there is Mary Baxter and more recently Don Piper and the 4 year old Burpo boy. His father waited 7 years (or it took seven years to create the story and the memories). This could be another baloon boy case. Excuse my skeptiscism but this genre is so inconsistent from one traveler to another and so over worked it is getting boring.

Putting NDEs to the test - the Bible,
By
This review is from: Heaven Can't Wait: A Survey of Alleged Trips to the Other Side (Paperback)
Alnor did a great job of researching, comparing and contrasting various speakers and groups. They (from Eadie to Roberts) support the now "Near Death Experience" era. ...and he told it all. His cons were based on Bible scriptures, a way to discredit those that say they have been to "heaven or hell" and back or had some spritual experience. He recited facts that most of us would otherwise not know about cultures, beliefs, religions, false prophecies and doctrines, and more. In order to determine if one is telling the truth (from a biblical standpoint) about their NDE or spiritual experience, put it to the test - use the Bible. It's got the facts.
