I recently lost both my dogs...one to Cancer,the other to Renal failure. I found this book advertised on the website,Pet Loss.com so I thought I would investigate....I borrowed it from a friend and could not put it down as it was informative and comforting to me in my grief.I firmly believe,despite what friends and relatives say,that someday my pets and I shall be reunited in Heaven! This book only reenforces this idea.It is even more interesting and applicable since the authoress lives in my home state of Oklahoma.

Well I've got something to shout about and praise God for after reading this wonderful book! There is wonderful teaching and some great preaching and some real important scriptures regarding animal afterlife! I loved the stories about miraculous divine healings and the teaching about why animals were sacrificed in the O.T. Scriptures that show how God loves and restores ALL His creation. And as Jean says "We must explore, prayerfully, what it means to `preach the gospel to all creation.' If we don't, we may miss God's will, His best." Mark 16:15

I also let Jean speak for herself her when she says "How very poor in joy are those who have never been friends with an animal. Those who become friends with animals are the richest people I know. They have been blessed." And "When I listen to the heart of each animal, I see my Lord." And I also agree with her when she says "For animal lovers, heaven just wouldn't be heaven without their animal friends." Thank you Jean for all your hard work and research to make this book available to us who will appreciate it.

This book is a must read for all pet owners, and future pet owners. It is inspirational, first and foremost. Then, it offers comfort and solace to the pain of grief. And, there is much information to be had, as well. Worth a try, and you will read and re-read it, as a source of reference and comfort.

This is the best book I have read about animals in the Bible. Its easy to follow and understand. She explains what the different translations mean and where to find them. It proves that Animals are a very special to God and have a great purpose here on earth as well as in the afterlife. What a huge comfort and blessing this book has been to me after the loss of my special Thumpy kitty.. I always felt animals would be in heaven but I met others that did not so Im happy to have all the facts. And the answer to that Question is "Yes" we will see them again!! God Bless you M. This book is so much better than Cold Noses at the Pearly Gates. Ms. Holms has clearly done her research and has provided numerous examples of what the Bible says about our pets. After loosing my Maltese in February 2007, this book has brought me comfort and was exactly what I was looking for. Anyone can write a book based on their opinion of if animals go to heaven (hence my reference to another book) but Ms. Holms, being a lawer, knows how to research and provide scripture proof of what God thinks of our pets. Perfect for those who want a clear understanding of what the Bible says about our pets. And for those who said they could research this information on their own, yes you could save some money, but you would spend so much TIME looking for the answers yourself (believe me, I've tried). This book already sums it up for us. Thanks Jean!

Do Dogs Go To Heaven? Eternal Answers for Animal Lovers Ever since I lost my first pet as a preschool child, I could not accept what I was told about animals not going to Heaven. As a child, adults were always quick to tell me my pets went no place after death. But, I knew there was a special life force that left my pets' bodies when they died. I knew that life force couldn't just disappear. When I studied physics in high school, I was taught that energy could be neither created nor destroyed. That energy had to be someplace after the body decayed. I have loved many animals in my life--and I have grieved for many dogs for a long time after their deaths. The grief was intensified by the thought that I would never see the dog again. When I was told Jade, my shar pei, had terminal cancer, I knew I had to find some answers. I started my own Bible study to search for anything that might indicate Jade could go to Heaven. After years of intense study which included going to the Hebrew words that were translated different ways into English, I started to see a place in God's Eternal kingdom for my dogs. I started praying for God to ease Jade into Heaven when her time came so I wouldn't have to face euthanasia. She died in my car at age 11 and I finally had peace--I knew Jade would greet me when my time was over here. Jean Holmes confirmed everything I had discovered on my own about the question of eternal life for animals. I highly recommend this book for any Christian who wants to know what happens to animals after they die. Jean presents all the key scriptures I have found on the subject in an organized method that is easy to follow and understand. She really has some revelation knowledge on several scriptures. She is an attorney which helps her in her approach to presenting the Bibical evidence for life after animal death. If you accept the Bible as truth and you have an animal in your life who is important to you--this book will give you insights you won't hear in your Sunday morning church service. If you have lost an animal whom you loved---this book will bring you great hope for reunion. I believe Jean clearly answered the question & presented clear evidence from the Bible. Do animals go to Heaven--yes, they certainly do!

I found this book to be insightful and well researched. The author has not allowed out dated or ignorant view points to keep him from searching out the answers to a tough question. I have recently lost a very good friend and family member when my cat died and I needed to know some answers myself. I am in agreement with the findings and believe whole heartedly that I will see those beloved friends and family members when I get to heaven.

I first read this book in july 2004, after the loss of my 10 year old boxer, 'Bitzn'. I am reading it again, after the loss of my adopted boxer 'Missy'. It was exactly what I was looking for. This book has lots of biblical quotes and references. It also gives an interesting but graphic view on Adam's fall from grace and how it affected all animals. I look forward to seeing my "boxer babies" in heaven.

Anyone that has lost a beloved pet like I have, should read this book! It just was so uplifting to know that God has my Chester in Heaven. I can"t say enough about Ms. Holmes book on God"s Creation.
