Originally entitled "Real Salvation and Wholehearted Service" Whitaker house has brought it back with a harder hitting title. Most modern evangelistic books such as those by Strobel are intentionally designed to soften and awaken those who have no church background and who do not self-identify as Christians. Torrey's book, arising as it did at a time of widespread Christian influence, is much more targeted at the cultural Christian who is not truly born again. If you have reached the place with someone like that where they are truly willing to listen, this book may finish the job. It's very direct, style with an occasional anecdote may particularly appeal to men. An excellent book to have in your arsenal.
