More About the Author

Judi's been published for eight years. Her first romance, I Dream of You, won Waldenbooks best selling debut novel of 2001. Since then she's published five more books for Kensington, seven for Avon/Harper Collins, and her romantic suspense, A Matter of Trust, was a launch book for Crescent Moon Press. She now writes romantic mystery for NAL's Obsidian line.
All royalties earned from Hounding the Pavement, her first novel in the dog walker series, will go to Best Friends in Kanab, UT, the largest no-kill shelter in the US. Judi is an avid animal activist and will do anything she can to promote canine welfare. If you're holding a rescue event, contact her to see how she can help.
She teaches the yearly two day 'aspiring author' course at the Romantic Times convention and speaks to writing groups across the country. A retired women's gymnastic judge, she resides on Virginia's peaceful eastern shore with her husband and three pocket pooches. Rudy, the star of the dog walker series, passed away, but he lives on in her heart and in her novels. In her spare time, she raises orchids and dreams of seeing Ellie, Rudy, and the dogs they walk on television or the big screen.
Judi promises to personally answer every query. You can reach her via her website: www.judimccoy.com or e-mail her at judi1022@earthlink.net

5.0 out of 5 stars Warm and funny!, March 23, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Heaven Sent (Paperback)
This was the first Judi McCoy book I have read. And I absolutely loved it. Eloise is an guiding angel who has 'pinkslipped' too many souls. She finds herself on earth as a mortal until she has learned some life lessons. As a kindergarten teacher, she meets a widower with an adorable little girl, Phoebe (her mother was one of Eloises souls...). Although it is obvious that Eloise is going to end up with the lovable widower, the story has some very original ideas and lots of humor! I will surely order her other books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Your heart will melt once you've read Heaven Sent., February 6, 2004

Get ready to cuddle up to this warm story by Judi McCoy. Suffering the loss of his wife, Nathan Baxter must concentrate now on his adorable child, Phoebe. Never counting on finding love again he's taken aback & confused by Phoebe's teacher, Miss Starr. When you begin reading you will not put it down. What kind of creature is captivating the detective? There is mystery plus all the loving, whimsical romance you'd only expect to find from a McCoy novel. The second of her Angel Trilogy, I can say her books just keep getting better.

This review is from: Heaven Sent (Paperback)
I am an avid reader of Judi McCoy's work, and this book is great. It starts out on the sweet and funny side with an angel named Eloise who is sent to earth as a human so she can experience life and perhaps be more understanding of the souls she watches over, then moves to a sexy read when she meets the man of her earthly and angelic dreams and his adorable 5 year old daughter. A second love interest makes this book more interesting than the kind where there is only one action/ interaction between a hero and heroine, especially since the romance is between an older woman/younger man.
I highly recommend this novel and can't wait for the final book in the trilogy to be released.
