Where have I been! I just found this available in Amazon and of course ordered it immediately. Johnnie and Luc are my favorite characters in this group of pop stars and I am very glad to have their stories in one print book. About time, Loose-id!

Heaven Sent is a famous group of 4 pop stars. This series consisting of 4 books focus on each musician finding the man of his life, eventhough they started off as bi-sexual or straight. As commented by Elisa, Yaoi flavor is quite heavy in this series and this is the very reason I enjoy it so much. Johnnie's and Luc's stories titled Heaven and Purgatory respectively are my favorites and these 2 gorgeous guys with their long hair are just so sexy. Jet Mykles has done a marvelous job developing this series. It is fun, sexy, hot, angst filled, engaging and pure indulgence. If you like your M/M with a Yaoi flavor, do not miss this!

Heaven is the 1st in a Yaoi inspired series called Heaven Sent by Jet Mykles. The covers of the series have all been done by PL Nunn and are gorgeous. They were part of the reason I was initially drawn to the books and are some of the 1st m/m books that I've read. An excellent start!!

When Tyler's family hotel business gets into some financial difficulty he and his friends decide to open a nightclub at the hotel. His father is terribly ill and the pressure is mounting to make the hotel a success. To open the new club Tyler extends an invite the popular band Heaven Sent to play.

Tyler is a huge fan of the band and when he gets over his initial moments of being star struck he strikes up a friendship with Johnnie, the lead singer. They spend time playing video games together in the evenings and Tyler starts to feel more than friendship for the magnetic singer. Having just recently split up from his fiancé, he finds his feelings confusing because he's is straight... Johnnie is a sexy and intense man and he wants Tyler and lets him know it on no uncertain terms. He is not easily dissuaded by Tyler's initial nervousness about the situation and he goes after what he wants.

This was one of my first m/m romances and I just loved it. Johnnie is so into the gorgeous Tyler from the start, and I loved the tension of him trying to seduce Tyler with stolen kisses and some hot foreplay. He is a forceful character and very single minded in what he wants. Tyler is softer and just a little bit confused about having feelings for another guy and he worries about how a rock star like Johnnie could really want to spend time with someone like him. He is sweet and a perfect foil for Johnnies magnetic sexuality.

Oh my gosh, this was like the best book I've read so far. I had seen the e-book format before and was not really interested in it, but our of curiosity when it got published I bought it. I have read it like 10 times. I totally recomend it. I went directly and bought the other two stories in e-format. I hope Jet publishes the other two stories in the same manner. Read it, if you don't you will be sorry. It was tastefully done, funny and romantic at the same time. A great book you might want to keep in your collection.

Warning: This review might contain what some people consider SPOILERS.

"Heaven" - 7/10

PROS:
- Hot sex. Johnnie is a little pushy leading up to the first encounter (he's a seme all the way), but overall I thought the sex scenes were fairly well done.
- The romance is light and breezy and shallow, but in a good way. I didn't find it anywhere near realistic (see cons below), but it's a fun read.
- Good interactions between the band members and between Tyler and his friends. There aren't any terribly nasty, homophobic characters.

CONS:
- Didn't quite believe the romance, particularly the characters' decision to make a lifetime commitment to each other at the end. I don't doubt that people can fall in love in the span of 3 days, but in order for that to happen, I think there has to be a pretty serious connection on some level other than the physical. And the problem here is that we don't see that: we see Johnnie and Tyler having sex (and really enjoying it, naturally), but we don't get to hear many of their conversations, which are what would have made the attachment more believable to me.
- Tyler's struggle with coming out to his family is a pretty major internal conflict, but it isn't addressed other than in a quick, "Oh, my family probably knows anyway" sort of aside. That disappointed me because I was pretty sure his sister was going to be awesome about it when he finally came out to her, and I didn't get to see that happen.

"Purgatory" - 6/10

PROS:
- Dreamy premise. I love the idea of a man who was rejected once upon a time being pursued by the one who turned him away.
- Funny, realistic dialog and cute characters (personality-wise). This is true of both stories.

Today I re-read Heaven by Jet Mykles. I absolutely adore Johnnie and Tyler, they are two wonderful characters, and I'd like very much to read more about them.

Johnnie is a famous rockstar who enjoy his life: he likes women and men as well, only pleasure. When he meets Tyler, the owner of the hotel who Jonnie is hosted, he wants him. But Tyler is not gay, even if, when he looks at Johnnie, his body is very interested; and he runs away.

But Johnnie doesn't accept a no like answer and eventually he has Tyler in his bed. But he can take him here?

In this book Jet follows the yaoi rules with two young characters, one stronger than the other, one always on top of the other. Johnnie is a few youger than Tyler, but it is obviously that he is the alpha male in this couple.

And guys, I always like man with long hair, and here Johnnie has beautiful long waist hair!

More About the Author

As far back as junior high, Jet used to write sex stories for friends involving their favorite pop icons of the time. To this day, she hasn't stopped writing sex, although her knowledge on the subject has vastly improved.

An ardent fan of fantasy and science fiction sagas, Jet prefers to live in a world of imagination where dragons are real, elves are commonplace, vampires are just people with special diets and shape-shifters live next door. In her own mind, she's the spunky heroine who gets the best of everyone and always attracts the lean, muscular lads. She aids this fantasy with visuals created through her other obsession: 3D graphic art. In this area, as in writing, Jet's self-taught and thoroughly entranced, and now regularly uses this art to illustrate her stories or her stories to expand upon her art. Only recently, through the wonders of the digital age, has Jet, a self-proclaimed hermit, been able to really share this work with others.

In real life, Jet lives in southern California with her life partner, his daughter and father and too many cats. She has a bachelor's degree in acting, but her loathing of auditions has kept her out of the limelight. So she turned to computers and currently works in product management for a software company, because even in real life, she can't help but want to create something out of nothing.
