When someone loses a loved one, sadness, bitterness, confusion, and frustration are common emotions. Dealing with the loss can often take a toll on the living because we are left behind with only memories. Death, the final stage in our journey of life is inevitable yet we still fear this final step. However, with God's guidance and understanding we can come to terms with our loss and ultimately accept it because there is no other alternative. My mother, a delicate flower, was planted and then hand picked by God to be in Heaven's bouquet. We are all like flowers in that we start from a seed and with proper care and nurturing we grow to become a beautiful flower. Once the flower blossoms it is picked to be apart of a bouquet; as we blossom we become apart of people's lives. Just as a beautiful flower arrangement fills a room with scented aromas and makes a room vibrant, a person can bring happiness and joy to other people's lives. Everything under the sun has a season; a flower is here for a short time so after it has served its purpose it passes away just as people do. Thus, we are like a flower, we are born, we blossom and then we die.

A gifted motivational speaker and youth mentor; he serves as an assistant to his Pastor at the Forest Chapel Baptist Church in Forest Park, Ga. He is a native of Columbus, Ga. and now resides with his family in the Atlanta Metropolitan area.
