For anyone wanting to take a walk through the eons and comprehend how each eon has left its mark on human development, "The Heavens Declare" is a treasure trove. It is not often that a book of this breadth and scope comes along. Nor do we often get authors who have absorbed the shaping realities of both depth psychlogy and astrology as completely as has Howell. As we move from Pisces to Aquarius, this book will both enlighten such a cosmic transition, as well as make the trauma of such an advance more bearable. "The Heavens Declare" is tinged with both understanding of the past and a hope-filled vision for the future.

Those who appreciate Jung's approach to psychology, and have often wondered what all that astrology business was about, are going to really enjoy this book. This is truly an amazing book, and Alice O. Howell delivers a tremendous amount of information in a very readable format. Part One of the book gives an overview of astrological concepts as they relate to psychological processess. Part Two traces the development of the human psyche through the more "recent" astrological ages, and gives the reader some food for thought regarding the coming Aquarian Age.

Alice O. Howell's The Heavens Are Telling is timely and desperately needed in order for us to try to understand today's troubling times in a much larger context. Her writing is deceptively simple--writing to a friend. But it's the kind of writing possible only when one so fully understands the topic that complex concepts can be spoken of with great simplicity. She makes it so understandable. However, almost any sentence, when deeply pondered, is almost a world of information in itself. Alice O. Howell offers a depth and clarity that are rare, and that have been most helpful to me in my own work as a Jungian analyst.

Alice O Howell's -The Heavens Declare...This is not your average Astrology book and it doesn't claim to be all you ever need to know either. In fact it makes you realise there is always more to know and thats what makes Astrology so wonderful. It most definatly is NOT a cookbook, or a simple sun sign manual. Its simple yet deep and profound at times in its simplicity. Makes me step back and appreciate life. Its a book that took me back full force into Astrology after a time when I backed off feeling that it was too fatalistic. This book also helped me realise the value of Astrology and psychology to see symbols and connections in life. I would recommend this to everyone. Love it

A.O.H. has written an extraordinary easy to read book about a very difficult subject: The coming of The End of the Earth in 2012. In this tour around the zodiac Chicken Little's megaphone-voiced 'gloom and doom' pronouncements are countered with sound arguments by a first class historian and very enlightened thinker.
The author takes you, via the "Beejustan merry-go-round" , on an interpretive tour of the zodiac where, among others, the Age of Taurus is encounterd. The reader's consciousness will become unfettered,freed from the Zeitgeist-bonds of each Age. Also visited will be the oncoming Age of Aquarious, the verytable beginning of the zodiacal 'new' year ,2012 we are being ushered into.
