A masterpiece of storytelling, science, and history.,

This book is a joy to read. Rarely can an author write about science and create an experience even better than a fictional novel. You don't have to be interested in astronomy or meteor storms finish this book and want to read even more.

I bought this book after being attracted by the used price because I was interested in considering the topic of natural phenomena as they relate to religious belief.
I was amazed to find some embarrassing editing and printing errors (especially by Cambridge Univ. Press), lackluster writing at best, and to my disappointment, less coverage of peoples' interpretations of these events. Perhaps a better book will come regarding this subject, and will be more specialized - whether it be a scientific, cultural, or even religious history. |
