Zdenka Novak vividly describes her life journey from happy childhood in Zagreb through the Earth shaking Holocaust experiences in Croatia during World War II. After her young husband and all her family died she was able to escape and live with the Partisans in the woods and survive. But she never could let go of the memories and her beloved sister Meera who died in the Island Pag and her young husband Fritz who died on the way from Jadovno to Pag.
