This review is from: Heavy Artillery of World War 2 -Vital G (Vital Guides) (Paperback)
This book was a good introduction to the subject. I particularly enjoyed the section related to Czech artillery, of which I haven't found a great deal of information in the past. I enjoyed the sections about the artillery used by some of the 'main players' in WWII i.e. U.S. U.K. and German, including the brief overview of the development and nomenclature of the different models. I would have liked information about the nuclear testing programmes involving U.S. artillery, although this is only a minor critical point. Some great pictures will add to the text, especially of the Japanese gun crews. All in all, well worth the money and an enjoyable read.
