Spielberger's joining of forces with Jenz and Doyle has resulted in the best yet coverage of these three heavy sluggers, the Jadgpanther, Ferdinand/Elephant and Jadgtiger. Excellent in every way from photos (yes even some never seen before)to technical text to action reports to Doyle's excellent drawings. Everything you could ever want to know about these facinating machines but didn't know how to ask. Especially helpful is the addition to the new series is the "Kill/range" comparison charts for each machine against the best armor the allies put against them. No duds yet in the new series. Just hours of great, fascinating reading. Kudos to Spielberger, Jentz and Doyle.

This volume is worth the money. It combines the history, technical and production details of all of the German Jagdpanzer. It includes the jagdpanther, Elephant and jagdtiger.

Well worth it and recommended to those with an interest in German armour.

I enjoyed this book very much and am glad I added it to my collection. The authors Walter Spielberger, Thomas Jentz and artist Hilary Doyle are German armor experts. This book does not disappoint. It has everything you could want, great photos, line drawings, B&W photos (sorry no color), statistics, reports from the Panzer soldiers who used these beasts in action.

The book traces the origins of the Jadgpanther (anti-tank 88mm tank destroyer based on the Panther hull) to the Ferdinand/Elephant (88mm based on the Tiger hull) to the monster called Jagd Tiger a 122mm tank destroyer. The book shows how all of them were very capable of destroying any tank on the battlefield, but there were too few of them, too many breakdowns and they were too complicated to make during "wartime conditions" (Germany being bombed 24x7).

A must have for any serious armor book collector.

A very informative book for the specialist of this subject. A good reference guide with a selection of rare and interesting photos.

This title is even better than the one on the light jagdpanzers, detailed information abounds, the photos are great, and the blue prints awesome. Is a great read even for those no familiar with the theme, Spielberger's titles on the Tiger and the Panther tanks are a little bit too technical and can be confusing to some but this one has a very novice friendly style. a must for scale modelers, keep them coming.

A superb book of the heavy jagdpanzer, showing the development and the use of this fine machines, an excelent source for modellers and hitorians!

This is a very detailed, well written and illustrated book on the Jagdpanther, Elefant, and Jagdtiger. Numerous line drawings and photos show how these vehicles were employed. Strongly recommended for those interesed in WW2 German Armor!
