5.0 out of 5 stars Heavy Metal 2000 Soundtrack, a great buy!
The HM2K Soundtrack is excellent - Whether your into Industrial/Grindcore metal, or a little Psychopathic Hiphop, it will have a song(s) for you. And the limited edition comes with an exclusive CD-ROM with all kinds of cool HM2K stuff on it. If you are a fan of the original movie and soundtrack, this is a definte buy, especially for collectors.

3.0 out of 5 stars Heavy Metal 2000 - not as Heavy as the original
No complaints about the delivery time or price. It's just not as solid a soundtrack as the original is. But it's still entertaining.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unreleased Metal Material, Worth Every Penny..., February 1, 2006

9/10 Silver Future - Monster Magnet- Great metal track with that psychedelic vibe, some of their better new material you're going to listen to.

10/10 Immortality Insane - Pantera-If you're a collector of Pantera material this Soundtrack is a must have. One of my top 10 fav Pantera tracks and this is the only place you can find it.

4/10 Dirt Ball - Insane Clown Posse-I'm a juggalo at heart, truth be said the song's nothing to brag about but it's classic ICP/Twiztid.

7/10 Storaged - System Of A Down- Reminiscence of their debut, short track (under 2 minutes) but an essential if you liked SOAD's original material. Inless you feel like spending $50 on a cd, this is the only place you can find this track.

11/10 Green Iron Fist - Full Devil Jacket-Best metal track "Heavy Metal 2000" has to offer! I'm a huge fan of their "Wax Box EP" and this track blows everything they've ever done out of the water. (only available on this soundtrack)

6/10 Wishes - Coal Chamber- Once again, unreleased. Not their best work but not bad by any means.

One of the best Metal soundtracks available, right up there with "The Crow", "Dracula 2000" & "Freddy vs Jason".

5.0 out of 5 stars Heavy Metal Indeed!, July 25, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Heavy Metal 2000 [LIMITED] (Audio CD)
I was listening to the cassette tape of this album for years, and could not get hold of a disc as it was very rare. Finally got one and it is as good as it gets. This soundtrack album is simply exceptional. There is not one song in the collection that I don't like. Very rarely do you find a collection like that, let alone a soundtrack album.

If you are into hard rock, With infusion of tech elements and retro styles, this is the best you will find. Grab any last copies of this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heavy Metal Thunder, January 10, 2009
This review is from: Heavy Metal 2000 [LIMITED] (Audio CD)
The soundtrack packs one solid punch and is heavy on the metal, with the sounds of industrial/alternative metal/hard rock/hip-hop ripping through the mix.

Pantera (Immortality Insane) has the standout of the 18 tracks, but the others are rumbling close by, with ICP & Twiztid (Dirt Ball) too hip just to hop...it pounds out a beat like a fullback taking aim at an undersized safety to bull his way into the end zone. Queens of the Stone Age (Infinity), Coal Chamber (Wishes) and Bauhaus (The Dog's a Vapor) show the variety of power from different angles. Billy Idol (the voice of Odin in the movie) even gets into the mood with Buried Alive.

By raining down the thunder, this is a soundtrack the reigns supreme.

2.0 out of 5 stars ok to have as acollector's item but..., April 18, 2011
This review is from: Heavy Metal 2000 [LIMITED] (Audio CD)
Compared to the original this is a joke. It's only my opinion, but most of today's music is garbage. Kinda like the 2nd woodstock, gimme a break. On top of it, everyone got out of control; nothing at all like the original. I guess in my opinion I just like to keep it real. I gave it 2 stars for it's collectible status, but 5 stars for the disc itself being a good frisbee.
