Editorial Reviews

Heavy Lies the Crown, the Ferret Music debut from Full Blown Chaos, takes the life lessons Mazzola has learned from his heroes like Freddy Madball, Roger Miret, Max Cavalera and Jamey Jasta and puts them forward into the world via the most bone-crushing metal this side of the year 2000, a sound that every bit delivers on the promise the band has shown on the road at Ozzfest, and with Slipknot, Fear Factory, and Hatebreed. Crafted at Underground Sound with Biohazard's Billy Graziadei, who pushed the band to test their limits and delve deep into their influences, Heavy Lies the Crown incorporates the best parts of thrash titans like Slayer, alongside the "basics" like Sick Of It All, with a healthy dose of the Southern groove of Down and even a little taste of death metal like Suffocation thrown in for good measure, forging one monstrous CD. Like Jake and Elwood Blues, Full Blown Chaos is on a mission. And Heavy Lies the Crown is their testimony.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eye For An Eye Style Brutality!, August 25, 2007
This review is from: Heavy Lies the Crown (Audio CD)
Full Blown Chaos, One of NY Hardcore's finest acts come back for the second summer in a row to release thier third full-length. Last summer's "Within the Grasp Of The Titans" was a good outing but a tad of a let down if compared to their 2004 release "Wake the Demons". Now with "Heavy Lies the Crown" we see Full Blown reaching that same brutality that "Wake the Demons" had. This is a masterpiece for the hardcore genre, a genre that has had some pretty weak albums over the past year. This one prove's that their is only one way to stay in touch with the real Hardcore scene and that's to stay heavy and ruthless. This album has it all so if you like Full Blown or good Hardcore, pick this one up!

Title track is awesome, lots of crunchy riffs but all in all nothing here. Wont play this album start to finish.
