You want riffs, we got riffs
Most of these books promise a lot and deliver nada....This is an excellent book. I have been teaching guitar for 20 years and this is one of the best lick books I have come across. The title is totally erroneous, while it is written from a beginner's point of view, the licks are not easy teenage....Most require a well developed technique and persistence to play them...

Lack of audio examples
I just received my copy in the mail and I was disappointed to find that the book did not come with a cd of any sort. You have to send off for a cassette tape and pay extra for it.

Most of these books promise a lot and deliver nada....This is an excellent book. I have been teaching guitar for 20 years and this is one of the best lick books I have come across. The title is totally erroneous, while it is written from a beginner's point of view, the licks are not easy teenage....Most require a well developed technique and persistence to play them well (I should know, I went through all 100 of em', note by note). Best of all, they are cool riffs. He plays each one at full shred speed and then again at 1/2 speed.

This book covers most techniques of guitar - hammers, bends, whammy bar, harmonics, muting... This book is geared for beginner and intermediate, and is filled with exercises that are great for establishing your technique.
