The Love Dogs are absolutely incredible. Their music is just getting better with time. The more you listen, the more you have to play it. If the Dogs are ever in your part of the country... they are a must see!!! Very fun to see live, lots of energy and interaction with the crowd!

The Love Dogs, for my money, have put down some of the best swing tracks on disc I've heard.. These guys SWING.. Forget Setzer and the Daddies. This one's a winner.

I admit it was a risk to buy this CD. There's no telling how the two dynamite live sets at Boston's famous Johnny Dee's this past Halloween would translate to the home CD player. Have no fear! This studio recording brings the live ambience of a rockin', sultry, steamy, and just plain fun band to those of us "too old to die young" for a Saturday nite groove or a Monday morning work out. Yes, the Love Dogs swing - but with a bit more flavor (and a lot less guitar) than Brian Setzer, and a lot more scat and finger-snapping than the Cherry-Poppin' Daddies. There's plenty of mood, clever lyrics, and enough sax attack to make you smile.

I love absolutely every song on this CD. From the latin beat of "Lock You Up" to the the bluesy "Hot Weather" to the rockin' "Who Got You Mama"..........I am so glad this band is local to me, as I love seeing them live even more. Their CDs keep me tuned up til they come around for their next gig in my area.
