My Hebrew tutor used this book as a text. It is a decent text, and easy to follow. It teaches the alphabet and basic words at a nice pace. However, it doesn't stand alone -- you will need a Hebrew class, or a tape, to go with the book.

A wonderful book to teach Hebrew for the first time. I have been using this both in the classroom and for private tutoring.

This book is very good for young children just starting out in Hebrew. I teach at the local synagogue and found this book to be very useful for my 6, 7 & 8 year olds. It challenges them and gets slowly harder as the book progresses. I'd definitely recommend it.

This is a fun book for child or adult classroom study. We use it for the kids and adults. This book isn't for self study as it doesn't tell the sounds the letters or the vowels make-that is left for the instructor.

This book does not offer much to beginners of Hebrew, although it is entitled "primer". It is not detailed enough and one can get easily lost.

I learned alephbet, and to read Hebrew with this book. I now teach it. It is very user friendly for all ages. You will need someone to tell you how to pronounce the letters.

So far, I have selected only this book for teaching the BEGINNER HEBREW CLASS. It is the best for learning the Hebrew characters and vowels...
