Book Description

July 22, 2005
The plot begins in 1929, at the scene of the horrible Hebron massacre, when a good hearted Muslim Arab saves a tiny Jewish infant whose family has been butchered by the brutal Arab mobs, and brings her to a Jewish family in Jerusalem. Their paths continue to touch each other again and again, through the trials and tribulations of history, as the generations of one become deeply involved in terrorism and the PLO and of the other in the Mossad. The action in the book skims quickly through the years. The story line sweeps us along, as fact and fiction collide, electrifying us and drawing us deeper and deeper into the surprising, painful and multi-symbolic spiral of fire that climaxes the history of this majestic land.____________________________________________ Leon Uris (Exodus), James A. 5.0 out of 5 stars Account of two families and two People's, January 17, 2006

This review is from: The Hebron File (Paperback)
The Hebron File is a historical novel , set over 60 years , from the Hebron pogrom of 1929 , in which Arab mobs destroyed the ancient Jewish community of Hebron , massacring whole families including children , to PLO terrorism in the 1980's.
It is the story of a baby Jewish girl, Rivka, rescued in 1929 , by a kind hearted Arab , Ahmed.
Rivka is raised by another Jewish family in Jerusalem , and marries Erik , a young holocaust survivor.

As Ahmed's offspring get inolved with PLO terror , and Erik is involved in a high powered job with the MOSSAD, we get a ground eye view of events in Israel and the Middle East , through the different generations.

A family saga and a saga of the wars and struggle of Israel to survive , against an enemy for whom killing Jewish women and children is an ideology.
As we confront the hate of the Arabs for Israel's people and the Israeli struggle to continue top exist in their ancient homeland , we are reminded of the precarious value of life.

Real life characters like Gold Meir , Yitzhac Rabin , Ariel Sharon and the mass murderer Yasser Arafat (may his name be blotted out)make appearances in this account.
Arafat's Satanic philosophy in summed up in his words: " When you kill a Jewish boy , you are killing a future Jewish soldier , and when you kill a girl or a woman , you wiping out a potential 'womb' , and that's what's important that they have fewer children. When you kill old people , you're telling the Jews that even in old age they wont find any rest in Palestine. Every Jew that's killed serves the Palestinian cause. Always think in terms of the future."

The book also has a handy timeline in the front outlining the real life events decribed in this book between 1929 and 1988.

JC Avigad is an Israeli bussinessman who has fought in Israel's wars for survival and witnessed first hand many of the events described in this book.

The Hebron File is an account of the 'Palestinian' Arabs and their love for bloodshed and of the Jews of Israel and their love for life.
