There is one kind of music that transcends genre. It is music that makes you feel drunk - drunk on some incredibly sweet nectar that you want more and more of. You want to dive deeper and deeper into it, never want it to stop. It doesn't allow for separation of the emotions - nostalgia, loss, loving, and above all, joy. This CD, Delgado's musical rendition of Spanish woman poets from the first millenium, is the latest additon to my CD shelf marked "drunk music".
