Editorial Reviews

CABEZAS DE CERA, a current Mexican trio, presents an exciting mixture of Progressive rock. Mixing together influences from jazz-rock, Rock In Opposition and world music. The musicians themselves cite several varied sources including KING CRIMSON (Chapman Stick included), Dave MATTHEWS BAND, Miles DAVIS, John COLTRANE and Pat METHENY. The group proposes to give its audience a truly personal sound which can not be confused with that of any other group. "...Un Segundo" is their second production as a group and was recorded during the year 2002. As time passed by, the "Candle-wax heads" took a new dimension, becoming one of the major attractions in the genre. Jointly published by the Musea and Luna Negra labels, "Hecho En Mexico" is the title of the new album. Exlusivement made of new compositions, it has been captured live between February and July 2007 in various locations, including the fourth edition of the Ollin Kan Tlalpan festival, the twenty-third edition of the Ciudad de Mexico festival and the Festival Alternativo De Querétaro. An idead introduction to the band's own universe !
