More About the Author

A Sexologist by trade, Brett Tate "accidentally became wealthy" during the Dot.com boom and retired in his 30's. He's spent a decade globetrotting, competing in adrenaline junkie sports, as well as golfing, deep sea fishing, and relishing his favorite sport; women. His ever popular travel guide "The Hedonist" details his favorite two dozen cities abroad to pursue the Jetsetting Bachelor's lifestyle.

Hitting Amazon's 2007 top 100 list is his satire "The Professional Bachelor - How to Exploit her Inner Psycho". A bachelor's lifestyle guide, Tate pens a cynical guide full of observation humor; how he worked the American dating scene as a former nightclub prowling psych doc turned swashbuckling expat. Having bedded an "embarrassingly large number of women" over the last 20 years, he shares his PUA social dynamic insights and advice. Part two of the book includes an Asset Protection plan to set up pre-engagement to avoid getting rolled in a divorce.

Just got back from my Cabo trip, the third vacation city I've visited since buying this book. It's uncanny how correct the details have been, I mean down to the T. On this trip it helped choose the golf course, the hotel, even the best boat to charter for the blue marlin fishing. We caught a 400 lb monster that fought like a demon; even the topless local girls we brought on board for the trip were impressed. I'd like to think they caught a monster too, but you know. Later that night, for appetizers and mindless entertainment we went to the pool hall/brothel mentioned in the book. There's no way you would have ever find it without reading about it. It was us 4 guys, and 40 girls who took up all the bar stools. They seemed real friendly here. Anyway, I'd highly recommend you buy a copy.

Having been burned by the vagueness of a number of Lonely Planet travel books, I was looking for something more specifically tailored to male vacations. This guide has been a great find. It has proven to be invaluable, saving me a lot of headaches and money. It really cuts to the chase on describing exactly how, what, and where a guy can discover adventure on his terms in each city. It's heavy on details, and offers not just the hedonistic activities to dabble in, but also the legalities of travel there; customs, currency tidbits, and the scams and bad spots to avoid. The author is obviously a well traveled guy, some of these beach towns I've never even heard of. Just reading about them makes you more than curious. Beyond the excellent content, the best thing about this book is the writing style. Almost masquerading as a travel guide, it is one of the funniest collection of chauvinistic pieces of insight and wisdom I've ever read. It's worth buying it just for learning and laughing.

This books hits dead on with tips on visiting different countries and enjoying the pleasurable sights it has to offer. I've been in Europe for several years and everything this books has told of approaching women and experiencing different cultures is absolutely correct. I feel as if one of my "running buddies" wrote this book. For anyone who have travelled outside of the U.S. and have experienced some of the things this book tells will find themselves astonished and saying "I've done that!" or "I saw that!". A great book to read for the curious mind who wants to know what else is there out there in different parts of the world, especially if you're tired of the routine rituals of dating or costly entertainment which doesn't gaurantee anything special. I won't go over much details but I will say this..."BUY THIS BOOK!!!!"
