These never close properly. Very often I have found that the seams have opened despite the zipper not having moved.

After a stroke in 1997, I was looking for something that would seal easily and open easily. Persons with weak hands due to arthritis and stroke, etc., will find these products a blessing. Hefty zipper bags were the answer. I use them for food, travel, storage of clothes, storage of sewing material, art supplies, storage of old photo albums - anything I want to keep sorted and clean and contained. One of the problems with these bags is that the Jumbo bags are the largest bag that Hefty makes in this style. (And, yes, if you overstuff them, the zipper fails.) And I would like the opaque "label" to be moved to the upper top. And while you are at it, lower the price.

I have used these to store multiple fresh greens for salads after having washed them and put them through a salad spinner. These bags keep them fresh for several weeks.
Also have used these bags to store the grandkids craft projects.
I just wish they were available in the grocery store.

Time after time, the zipper feature on these Hefty bags don't work. I can't ever get an airtight seal that holds and often the whole top will open. Ziplocs aren't quite as big but they work MUCH better.

Where else can you find a zip loc see through plastic bag that is 2.5 gallons. Its large, does a great job and makes for storing larger items a breeze. I really enjoy this item and wish more companies would make them.

These bags are so versatile. Not only can you store food but anything else you want to keep clean and dust free and because they're clear, you see right away what's in the bag. They'll also be very useful for when I travel. I will buy these bags again.

I LOVE these Hefty jumbo bags! They have so many uses in our home & when we travel. I routinely use them for organizational purposes or to protect anything/everything from moisture, mildew, dust, damage, bugs or moths. These are perfect for storing sweaters, shirts, cashmere items, silk, beaded items, seasonal accessories & other clothing/accessories you want to protect. I use these bags to pack delicate or beaded items when we travel - the beading and/or sequins do not snag other garments when safely ensconced in one of these Hefty bags. These bags are perfect for organizing your suitcase & protecting items from each other (e.g. dark jeans leaving a mark on lighter clothes, your socks are easy to find, etc.). I pop all of our chargers (phone, laptop, Kindle, camera, overseas adaptors, etc.) in one of these for easy organization. These bags are perfect for storing instruction manuals & warranty materials - everything is in one place. I also use them to store oversized food items (lasagna, cakes, tarts, large cuts of meat, etc.) & leftovers I want to keep fresh in the refrigerator.

I find the one-zip closure especially useful - I don't have to run my fingers up & down the length of the seal to make sure the bag is completely closed - one easy slide of the zipper after pushing the air out & it's done. These bags are also quite durable & easy to label. As long as you don't overstuff the bag, the seal is secure. I don't know what I would do without these fabulous Hefty bags!!

These bags were beyond perfect. We used them to pack medical supplies for a mission trip to Ghana...they were an absolute life-saver!!

A very excellent & useful product. We could not do without it in our house.

I love the 2.5 gallon bags. I do quilting and they're really handy for storing fabric and notions for each project. It's also handy for kid's crafts with a box but small items that invariably fall out. They stay IN. The only con is that the hefty zipper is flimsy so if you overload it at all, the clip might come off or the zip part won't work. Regardless - until someone new comes out with an improvement on this (or a 3 gal. size), this is my favorite for MANY things. They're not always easy to find, so I just ordered a bunch so I wouldn't have to keep looking for them.
