It's a typical needle driver, there's nothing particularly spectacular about it. Just make sure you get the right size needle holder--there are larger ones available on Amazon. However, it did arrive faster than much sooner that expected and was well packaged so that it did not get damaged en route.

He's right. Looks like it's for holding a small needle. Made in Pakistan. Boil or autoclave first before using. Not for heavy duty use. Think how you're going to shave and anesthetize the area, clean and disinfect, deal with bleeding, suture a deep layer as well as the surface area, use antibiotic cream, leave drain tube in place, cover lightly but be able to check for redness, swelling, etc. Have some hydrogen peroxide around for disinfecting. Remove sutures in 10/15 days (shorter time for face and hands). Learn proper suture removal technique unless you intend to introduce micro-organisms back into the wound - don't pull a contaminated section of the suture material through the wound. Serious redness, swelling, malordous exudate, pain, or loss of function: get professional treatment fast.

I have purchased "several" of these, just recently. I build emergency TRAUMA kits and was not truly aware that you need two, at once, to put sutures in a wound, until I began reading up on the subject and seeing "just how small" the needles are. These are GREAT, as I have had to personally "practise", since purchasing them
