4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, December 14, 2011
This review is from: Heidegger and the Question of Time (Contemporary Studies in Philosophy and the Human Sciences) (Hardcover)
Dastur's extremely brief monograph is a brilliantly concise explication of the question of the meaning of time and temporality in the work of Martin Heidegger. Tracing the initial articulations of time as the horizon for any understanding of the meaning of Being in the early Heidegger, Dastur moves quickly to extraordinarily clear discussions on the nature of ecstatic temporality and the temporality of Being in general. A truly brilliant work of Heidegger scholarship, with a sensitive attunement to the language and complexity of this great thinker.
