Subtle and Delicate,
This review is from: Heights (Audio CD)
Intricacy (Master Class) evolves into a mystery as electronica pulsates from your headphones in a sexy melancholy (Honey) and then dissipates into a haunting acoustic mystery (Super-Dooper). Until Angels, this becomes very relaxing. Norah Jones is hardly recognizable. The music then turns very moody and slowly slips away into a subtle soundtrack background ambience. The mood setting elements are very apparent throughout the selections.

An Almost Brilliant Mix Tape,
By Jacob White "Beware the Unknown Unknown" (Springfield, VA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Heights (Audio CD)
The songs here range from smart, if overly familiar, electro-pop to a few Latin rockers; however, the flow comes to a grinding halt whenever the bits of soundtrack score are played. I'm sure they were perfectly evocative and moody for the images they were meant to accompany, but standing alone they are crushingly boring. My recommendation is to buy the CD (or borrow if you can) and just rip the songs by the contributing artists - making the near brilliant mix tape to chill out to.
