Shenanigans in ENE Mediterrania,
By
This review is from: The Heirloom (Atlantic Large Print Series) (Paperback)
Greeks doing Greeks and neighbours, but end in being done themselves. Shenanigans indeed, a contest between the one part's wish for a wellearned and secure retirement and the other's craving, of almost Black Irish intensity, for entirely unjustified vengence. The one aided by devious selfserving economical/political machinations; the other supported and protected by friends and the esteem of a former employer. Result, an almost shooting international crisis capped and deflated by the judicious release of exceedingly bloody terroism.
The wish fulfilled: secure and comfortable retirement with happiness as a bonus. |
