I have the first 2 editions of this book. For both novice and experienced machine quilters, the author's approach is clear and straight forward. If you were able to order only one book on machine quilting, this is the one. Each edition improves on the last one-including updated galleries. This author is genuine. She doesn't write books to just write books. While, some authors offer bits and pieces (so that you buy more of their books), her books offer a comprehensive approach to machine quilting.

Heirloom Machine Quilting is just the best book I have gotten yet. This book helps you understand what to do and why if you want to quilt your own quilt top without having to have someone with a longarm machine doing the job for you. It has pattern for you to copy for the quilting and shows you how to sew them in a one- two- three.
