Heirs Together applies the biblical principle of mutual submission to marriage today. The author examines biblical passages traditionally used to support hierarchical marriage and shows how they have been misused. She then shows how applying the equalizing principle of mutual submission can provide a basis for solving problems, dividing responsibility, child care, etc.--practical, no-nonsense advice. The book is widely used by pastors and counselors, and as a college text. Readable and positive in tone.
I was born, many moons ago, on the side of a hill in the Arkansas Ozarks, and grew up there and in Southern California. I've attended Los Angeles Baptist College and Western Michigan University.
I always wanted to write, and so, when my youngest child was in kindergarten, and after reading Billy B. Sharp and Claire Cox's book CHOOSE SUCCESS:How to Set and Achieve All Your Goals, I set out out to try my hand at writing. My first book, on the subject of equality for women in the church, was published by Zondervan Publishing House and has been in print for over 25 years. After that one, I wrote books that were related in some way to that subject, and then compiled and edited a cookbook, The Zondervan Family Cookbook.
Several more books are in the works, at various stages of completion.
