Product Description

The world's most advanced throwing disc and the first throwing disc engineered to change shape during flight.
How it works. The HELA does not have a traditional fixed airfoil. It has a flexible airfoil - coined "FlexFoil."
When the disc rotates freely in the air, the airfoil becomes defined by the convex upper surface and the higher pressure surfaces below.
The FlexFoil also changes shape during flight as rotational forces flatten the disc by pulling the weighted ends apart.
Advanced users experience a speeding-up sensation during longer distance throws.

Hela Features
-Designed with enhanced grip ergonomics
-Playable with multiple throwing techniques
-Improved accuracy in windier conditions
-Improved accuracy with long distance throws
-Elliptically shaped with curved profile
-Faster in-flight performance
-Unique flight signature

For those who are frisbee challenged, this is a great alternative.

Easy to use and it really does balance itself out over the flight pattern.
Alex Nelson
This disc is enjoyable to throw, but can get extremely frustrating.

Within five minutes of getting my Hela disc the thing got thrown into a wall at medium speed and suffered a massive crack. It flew really well when it worked but know that you probably shouldn't use one inside.

Be warned.

First off, this disk is amazingly fun. It takes a little bit to get used to, but when you do, its a blast. Unfortunately, I do not suggest playing anywhere but a field, due to the fact that it doesnt seem as durable as i would have hoped. About 20 minutes into playing, it hit some pavement and cracked. No more hela disk fun for me. It is quite a shame, because i really think this disk is amazing, but its not something you can fix with glue or tape or something due to the aerodynamics of the thing. What a shame.

Overall, highly recommended, but dont make the mistake i made. Play far away from a parking lot.

I was aware of the Hela disc early on in its exposure, thanks to a Gizmodo.com look the disc got. I followed a few reviews online and overwhelmingly people loved the disc. However, a few people had issues with the breakage on the early model. I contacted the company and they assured me that if I bought the disc and had a break they'd send me a new one. Needless to say I bought a version 1.1 and have had no issues whatsoever! We're tossing this yellow beast about 65 yards without even thinking about it and it's more accurate and causes less fatigue than any throwing activity I've ever tried.

This is a simple technology maximized for elevated play and extended enjoyment. I'm an early adopter and a huge fan. Go HELA!

This is a great thrower. I highly recommend using this at the beach as you will need a lot of room for the fun you will have. Easy to master once you get the grip down.
Only thing is that it will crack if it hits a solid object at speed.

Overall, a great product. Fairly easy to pick up and learn. It's nice how it cuts through the wind. On a recent beach trip, we tried to play with our regular frisbee but just couldn't do it because of the wind. We then gave the hela disc a try and were able to play for hours. The only real "downside" to this product is that it doesn't float...so, just be aware of that when playing near the ocean :)

It veers off when thrown. Not much fun compared to other flying rings out there. It's also hard and painful to catch.

I love frisbees, I have tried lots of different discs and I think Hela is definitely the best in terms of performance and fun. Of course at first you have to get used to its unusual shape but after the first throws it starts to come natural and you can really throw at distances you wouldn't have imagined. Really worth the try.
