From School Library Journal
Grade 7-10?Two attractive, well-researched volumes. While much of the information can be found elsewhere, the authors here use many quotes and examples to illustrate the hardships and problems Roosevelt and Keller encountered because of their physical challenges. Both books emphasize their subjects' strong personality traits that allowed them to achieve great success in spite of these difficulties. Both titles have excellent-quality black-and-white photos, including a rare one of Roosevelt in a wheelchair. With an easily read yet properly pedagogical style and an objective respect for the two worthy individuals, these biographies should be welcome additions to library shelves.?Phyllis Graves, Creekwood Middle School, Kingwood, TX
