last of a dying breed!,

Can't figure out why there are so few curling brushes out there - they are so much easier to use than the irons, especially for those like me who have stick-straight hair that slips through the irons. That said, the Helen of Troy brush is the only 1-inch barrel I can find out there, save for the ceramic one that is way too hot to handle and burns the hair too easily. The Helen of Troy does the job, just takes a few extra minutes of curling to perform on very straight hair. We need a curling brush that gets a few degrees hotter than the Helen of Troy (and an automatic shut-off!) and a few degrees cooler than the Inifinity by Conair. Are you listening, marketing departments???

I have a hard time finding heated curling brushes these days, and this one works well. I do wish it had automatic shut-off, but other than that it is fine.

I have been using this product for at least 20 years. The reason for purchasing a new one was because I left mine at the condo we rented this summer and it "disappeared". This product is hard to find. I hightly recommend this product especially if you are challenged like me and can't quite get the coordination to use a curling iron without bristles. I always seem to burn myself. Love, love love they way it heats up very quickly and the bristles help my keep the hot iron away from my scalp so that I don't burn myself. The only drawback and to me it is minor is that I almost always get my hair caught on the one end and have to pull to remove the few strands that get caught. It's not painful but just annoying. If I'm not in a hurry and looking in the mirror when I am curling my haird I can avoid do this to my hair. I seriously thought about buying two of these in case they become obsolete and I would not be stuck trying to find something else I like as much. I settled on buying two but in different sizes. The other one I bought was larger since I tend to fluctuate between medium to long length hair.

tip is too small to hold,

Great curling iron for those looking for one inch barrel, but the very tip is way too small. The iron gets hot and you barely have enough room to hold the curling iron to direct it with curling your hair. Definitely needs a bigger tip.

This is the longest-lasting curling iron I've ever bought. It has 2 heat settings and works beautifully. The big plastic tip helps you control your work without getting burned. I've had it for about 3 years and it still works; tried it on long hair and now my short hair.

Great Styling Tool!,

I have been using this curling iron for several years. It is a wonderful size barrel for those of us with shoulder length hair. It has a swivel cord, a cool tip, and easy to clean bristles on the brush iron itself.I rated this product four stars only because of the life of the product. I can generally get a year of service from this iron. I use it everyday, and always try to keep it clean from styling products. Because it is offered on Amazon.com at such a competitive price...the lifetime really doesn't bother me, because it is really still a great deal. It is impossible to locate this iron at local retail businesses, but actually even if it were available it is much easier to order online at Amazon.com! I just ordered two to have on hand, and got a great deal! They arrived quickly and were in perfect condition (NIB) I sure hope they keep manufacturing this one, because it is a perfect product for me! I'll be ordering this one again in the future!

I've been waiting for this product to come back on the market. Works great. Tighter curls for my short, fine hair.

They need to move the on/off switch,

I recently purchased this brush iron to replace my old Revlon that had died. Finding a good Brush Iron is really hard these days and I don't understand why more people don't use them. This is the only kind of curling iron that works in my long, straight hair. I purchased the Helen of Troy because people were saying it worked well, which it does, but I don't think it gets hot enough. I have to hold it in for a really long time to get the kind of curl I'm used to. Also, they need to move the on/off switch because it is really easy to turn it off by accident while you are turning it. I ended up putting a piece of poster putty in the little indentation so it wouldn't slide and just unplug it to turn it off. One thing I DO like about this iron is that it is pretty tangle free. I can do a couple of turns and still easily slide it out of my hair where other irons will usually tangle when I do more than one turn. I'd recommend the product, but only if your hair doesn't need a lot of heat to get the look you need.
