There is an up side and a down side to this birdhouse - it all depends on how you look at it.

If you are buying this as a home for birds, invest in better property. The wrens, chickadees, and swallows who have tested it have decided to take up lodgings somewhere else. They fly to the holes, look in, and promptly fly away. There simply is no room for them to build a nest and grow a family.

HOWEVER, if you want this birdhouse for looks, by all means get it. For the price, it is a cute little item to have in any backyard full of trees and bushes and birds to live in them. My wife and I thoroughly enjoy this little birdhouse we bought. Glad we found it.

THis bird house is charming and whimsical. It is also sturdy. It was a great addition to my garden. I haven't had any birds move in, but I hung it late in the season. I would purchase this again without question. It was a great deal.
