I chose this item for my daughter. We travel quite a bit and this has been very helpful when we don't have time to stop before our destination. It heats up well and love the fact we can plug into the car.

I am a makeup artist, and often do hair on set. I have had this iron for a year and a half, and love it. It works like a charm for hair touch-ups, as well as on days when I don't have time to finish my hair and I need to straighten/groom on the run. I would not purchase this as my one and only iron, though. If you have very thick or coarse hair, this cannot be your one and only. Even though it gets hot enough, it has a shorter battery life on high heat.

The iron does occasionally turn on in the bag, so I remove the batteries unless I am using it. That is actually why I am buying a new one today - the on/off switch is getting looser after heavy on set usage... It may seem like I am discouraging the purchase of this iron, however I do HIGHLY RECOMMEND it. I am buying a second one...

This is the answer for those of us who dread humid weather. The iron is substantial enough to actually straighten thick hair (not like that little mini conair). It heats up pretty quickly, it gets hot (on the hot setting), and the plates are smooth and well engineered. It holds a charge well...it will certainly last for several touch ups or even more extended use over the course of a couple of days. You wouldn't want to do your entire head, but only because it is a bit smaller to handle. You can charge it with a wall charger directly to the iron as well as a docking station for the battery. There is also a car charger, which I haven't used yet. It would be nice to have a small heat protected bag for it. I use the one that came with the mini conair after I tossed the mini conair iron. This is a fantastic product with a great price point (it was $34.99 when I bought it). Oh, and it worked fine with power adaptors in the UK and in Switzerland.

So happy I made the purchase....Works great and perfect for traveling. Keep it in my car, always at hand when I need a little fixing of my hair. I bet it will be great for those humid days....

I have used this product for several weeks now. I work outside and the humidity curls my hair after I had it straightened perfectly before leaving home. The battery has a pretty long life, getting several days worth of uses before having to recharge. It comes with an extra backup rechargable battery. This product is perfect for touch-ups and heats very quickly.

i love this flat iron. it's as good as an expensive bigger one (heats quickly and has high temps). it holds a charge for a long time. it charges quickly. it comes with great portable features, travel bag (which holds everything and is still small) with heat resistant pouch and car charger. worth the money, great value!

I purchased two of these items and I really love them for travel. I keep one in my office at work and one in my car. Because it does not require a cord, you can use it anywhere. There have been days where it has been raining outside and my hair looked "frizzy" or "flat" once I got into the office and I could fix my hair right in my office or in the ladies room. It is also great for "touch ups" when you have a function to attend after work and you might want your hair style to appear more "fresh". I also like taking it on short trips as it has a convenient carrying case for all of the accessories. The great thing about it is that you can either use the rechargeable battery or plug the device in. It heats up enough to maintain a style and straighten the hair and the battery life is really good. All in all, it's a nice little device....

I purchased this flat iron for a rainy week in Paris. I didn't want to deal with having to find a converter/adaptor that would support my American flat iron. After reading the reviews I was so excited to have found something that others claimed worked great on their curly hair. I DO NOT HAVE VERY CURLY HAIR so thought it would work great for what I needed. I had problems with it staying on. While using, the battery light would start to blink, like it was losing power (this was after having a full charge). It didn't seem to get hot enough to completely straighten my hair. After returning home, now the charging "prongs" on the base of the charger are bent and don't connect w/ the battery connectors. The only way to charge it now, is throught the car adaptor! Very disappointing all the way around.
