The titled piece is set in jungle with a "private" village outside a remote and very poor town. The locale assists the plot device of voodoo type zombie invoking. Due to remoteness and general lack of much contact with modern civilization (on regular basis).
A woman with a babe on run from private village where bad things happen meets a priest at his church. She pleads for help and the priest is driven into action when an act of violence makes him guardian of babe. He entreats help of local couple while trying to get local law to intervene. He loses the babe and gains two other to guard as events transpire. He finally gets some assistance via soldiers and a trip into jungle brings only one man back. Another bunch come to retreive the woman and babe. The ensuing encounter brings more fighting with the villagers and some discriminating zombies (they don't intend harm to any but the bad people).
It is fairly well edited - but could use another pass to correct some errors in grammar and punctuation. It has action and gory detail (but not over top) and many who enjoy genre will like this read.
